An art museum, like the school and the university, is part of the society's enlightenment project towards the citizens. The art museum's mission is to convey research-based knowledge of the interpretations of existence found in art. It is the dissemination of the insights that exist in art that help stimulate the individual's cultural identity and independent participation in democratic development. Therefore, ARKEN addresses all parts of society.
