This is a great zoo and also borders the Fredericksberg Castle. Both on our list of this to see.

Freetown Christiania

Freetown Christiania, Denmark

This colorful neighborhood is a must see. Freetown Christiania is a mix of homemade houses, workshops, art galleries, music venues, cheap and organic eateries, and beautiful nature. It is still a society within a society, for an example you cannot buy a house in Christiania. You have to apply for it, and if successful, it is given to you. The area is open to the public – even with guided tours, run by the local Christianites. *We will be staying in the Christianhavn neighborhoood

Jacobsen Brewhouse & Bar

11 Gamle Carlsberg Vej, København, 1760, Denmark
, 33 27 10 20

This is the Carlsberg Brewery. Take a tour and try some tasty beers! Also home to the largest beer collection in the world. Definitely worth a visit!

Nyhavn (Copenhagen Harbor)

København K, Denmark

This is the old part of town. Picturesque and beautiful. It is a must see if you can handle the tourists.

The King's Garden

Stop and smell the roses. Also, connected to an amazing park!

Kronborg Castle

2 C Kronborg, Helsingør, 3000, Denmark

This castle gave Shakespeare inspiration to write Hamlet. It was absolutely stunning - straight out of a fairy tale. *This is about 45 min train ride out of town.

Louisiana Museum of Modern Art

, 49 19 07 19

This leading international museum of modern art. Located on the coast it strikes that rarest of balances between landscape, architecture, and art in a unique interaction that attracts visitors from around the world and makes a visit to Louisiana something special throughout the year. *Heidi's favorite museum

ARKEN Museum for Moderne Kunst

100 Skovvej, Ishøj, 2635, Denmark
, 43 54 02 22

An art museum, like the school and the university, is part of the society's enlightenment project towards the citizens. The art museum's mission is to convey research-based knowledge of the interpretations of existence found in art. It is the dissemination of the insights that exist in art that help stimulate the individual's cultural identity and independent participation in democratic development. Therefore, ARKEN addresses all parts of society.
