Things to Do

Late September is an amazing time to explore this area! If you are traveling to Ohio for our wedding, please consider spending an extra day or two to experience the some beautiful and fun attractions! The wedding takes place in Chagrin Falls- and this town is quaint and worth walking around and exploring..if you have extra time, we highly recommend the Cuyahoga Valley National Park is where you can hike, bike, picnic and learn about the canal system...one of our favorite hikes is the Ledges. Peninsula is a quaint town, walk through and grab some lunch after biking, hiking or kayaking. Hudson (Heidi's hometown) has a beautiful downtown and interesting history- part of the Underground Railroad and great food & shopping destination (our favorite is 3 Palms Pizza!). Then there is Cleveland which is only 30 minutes away and has world renown museums, restaurants and theatre district..the Westside Market and Ohio City area are some highlights..see some of our recommendations below!

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame

1100 East 9th Street, Cleveland, OH 44114
, (216) 781-7625

This is just one great museum--located near Browns stadium right on Lake Erie...however there are soo many more! Check out the Wade Oval area for the Art Museum, Botanical Garden, and Museum of Natural History..

Cedar Point

1 Cedar Point Drive, Sandusky, OH 44870
, (419) 627-2350

If you are a roller coaster person--you shouldn't be visiting Cleveland for the first time and not spend a day at Cedar point..home of the best roller coasters in the world!!

Cuyahoga Valley National Park

OH
(330) 657-2752

We are most familiar with the stretch between Peninsula and Canal view...Szalay's is a great farm that has the best roasted corn and maze in the area..

The Blue Door Café & Bakery

1970 State Road, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223
, (330) 926-9774

Breakfast and lunch place only..but the best breakfast or lunch we have ever had!!

Ohio Organics & Nature

220 North Main Street, Hudson, OH 44236
, (216) 218-1141

Heidi's favorite little shop in downtown Hudson! They have health foods, local handmade goods, and very cute baby products! (they also carry Honey from Foster's Meadow)

FlipSide Hudson

49 Village Way, Hudson, OH 44236
, (330) 655-3547

The first Flipside location - where we (Heidi + Brad) decided we were dating! (Heidi normally gets the Inverted Veggie Burger and Brad likes 'Shawn's Burger' made with a turkey burger- with a side of sweet potato fries)

Mitchell's Ice Cream (Solon Shop)

6130 Kruse Drive, Solon, OH 44139
, (440) 542-0023

Brad loves Mitchell's - his favorite place to get ice cream growing up! His favorite is Coffee Chocolate Chunk.

The Ledges Shelter

701 Truxell Road, Peninsula, OH 44264
, (330) 657-2752

There are some great hikes in this area! We all love this one!

Rosati's Frozen Custard

95 East Aurora Road, Northfield, OH 44067
, (330) 908-0889

Looking for the best frozen custard of your life?

For all the days along the way
