Our Love Story
How It All Began:
In August of 2015 at Davidson College, we first met at the student union. After just a few conversations, we quickly became close friends. In fact, Allen often says Heidi was his very first friend outside of his football teammates. Though we never dated during college, we remained kind and supportive friends over the years. Fast forward to 2023—Heidi sent Allen a “belated” birthday message on Instagram. That simple DM turned into hours of conversation, and just two weeks later, we reconnected in Washington, D.C. A month after that, on Thanksgiving Day, Allen officially asked Heidi to be his girlfriend. From there, our journey has been full of joy, laughter, and love. In December 2024, Allen visited Heidi’s childhood home in Guerrero, Mexico, where he met her family for the first time. During that special trip, Allen asked Heidi’s parents for their blessing—and they both said yes. A few months later, in March 2025, we planned a trip back to D.C. to see the cherry blossoms and visit friends. Little did Heidi know, Allen had something even more beautiful in mind. He proposed at the very spot where he had asked her to be his girlfriend the year before—the National Mall. That evening, Allen surprised Heidi again with an engagement party filled with some of our closest friends and family. Heidi cried happy tears the entire day. We are so excited to continue this love story and can’t wait to celebrate our next chapter with you in Guadalajara!

Cómo Todo Comenzó:
En agosto de 2015 en Davidson College, nos conocimos en el "union", el centro estudiantil. Después de unas cuantas conversaciones, rápidamente nos hicimos grandes amigos. Allen siempre dice que Heidi fue su primera amiga fuera del equipo de fútbol americano. Aunque nunca salimos durante la universidad, mantuvimos una amistad cordial a lo largo del tiempo. En 2023, Heidi le escribió a Allen por Instagram deseándole un feliz cumpleaños (aunque tarde). Ese mensaje llevó a largas charlas y dos semanas después nos reencontramos en Washington, D.C. Un mes más tarde, Allen le pidió a Heidi que fuera su novia en el Día de Acción de Gracias. Desde entonces, hemos compartido muchos momentos especiales. En diciembre de 2024, Allen viajó a Guerrero, México, para conocer la familia de Heidi. Durante el viaje, Allen pidió la mano de Heidi a sus padres, ¡y ambos dijeron que sí! Unos meses después, en marzo de 2025, planeamos un viaje a D.C. para ver los cerezos en flor y visitar algunos amigos. Lo que Heidi no sabía era que Allen tenía algo aún más hermoso planeado. Le propuso matrimonio en el mismo lugar donde le había pedido que fuera su novia el año anterior: el National Mall. Ese mismo día, Allen la sorprendió con una fiesta de compromiso rodeada de algunos de nuestros amigos y familiares más cercanos. Heidi pasó el día entero con lágrimas de felicidad. ¡Estamos emocionados por celebrar nuestro amor con ustedes en Guadalajara y comenzar este nuevo capítulo juntos!
