Jen's brother Joe has been a manager at both UCBC locations (Midtown & The Grove) for years - it is a family favorite! This location is close to the Union Station Hotel. Jen loves the Count Orlock and Mike loves the Schnickelfritz!
The UCBC Bierhall is a fun option for big groups! This location is closer to the Chase Park Plaza but only a 15 minute drive from Union Station. The food here is awesome! We love the Poutine and the Strammer Max.
Tree houses, caves, a skateless skate park, 3-story slides - take our word for it - this is the adult playground of your dreams. Fun fact: Jen's parents have a fountain in their backyard by artist Bob Cassilly, brainchild of the City Museum :)
Don't even try to argue with Jen about this - St. Louis has the best zoo in the world. And it's FREE!
Mike's favorite BBQ spot in STL - the reason why? The best sides known to BBQ and mankind. A 15-20 minute drive depending on which hotel you are staying at but the Loop is a great place to walk around and explore!
Great spot for live music - you can start at BB's or Broadway Oyster Bar - this block is a music/fried food lover's dream! (please just don't end up at White Castle...)
Hole in the wall dive bar with the worlds BEST sandwiches! Live music and arcade games. Jen loves the Boy Howdee - just beware of the spicy peppers - they are HOT!
So we're basically telling you to eat your way through the Grove... GET THE FRIED CHICKEN HERE!
A magical french spot that will make all of your dreams come true! This is just a half block from Jen's parents house making it an easy go-to when we are in STL. Great for brunch or dinner - we require that at least one person gets the cheeseburger.
Rated top 5 BBQ in the country = get there early in the day because it gets PACKED! Beware - they don't serve drinks - we know that can be a game changer...
Blues History + Sugarfire BBQ = Heaven You may be thinking we have a slight BBQ obsession...(you're 100% right)
