A few weeks before moving to Utah Lisa created a Hinge profile and set her location as Salt Lake City, UT. Neither can remember who liked first but Chris made the first move over text. "Hey it's Chris from hinge! How's your day going? :)"

Lisa offically moved to Utah on July 26, 2022; her mom left a couple days later, and that same night she went on a date to The Green Pig. If you know anything about Lisa this is unlike her but she went without hesitation. Chris would say that he was going to give one last Hinge date a chance. From that night forward their love story began.

Chris asked Lisa to be his girlfriend and of course they 'celebrated' with Chick-Fil-A. Over the next 2 years many dates, trips and life events took place. They took countless dates trying to find a better chicken sandwich than Chick-Fil-A. Chris became a Paramedic, and Lisa became a Registered Dietitian. They traveled to Michigan, Bryce Canyon, Moab, Jamaica and Wisconsin. Their family grew when Chris surprised Lisa with Kona (a chocolate lab puppy).

An early morning hike up Little Cottonwood Canyon to Cecret Lake made for the perfect proposal spot. With the lake nearly to themselves, Chris got down on one knee and the rest is history. Lisa was gullible enough to fall for getting her nails done for her first week of work and Chris was clever enough to convince Lisa there was not a ring yet (there had been one since May). They later found out it had been 2 years to the day since saying 'I love you' for the first time (Chris would say he said it first, Lisa would say she was thinking it first). An unplanned, meant to be coincidence.
