FAQs

The Wedding Website of Heather Heidenreich and Matthew Brady
Question

Where is the wedding ceremony taking place?

Answer

You'll find the ceremony site between cabins 30-32, just follow the lakeshore trail heading east. After the ceremony, the reception will be by the lodge/restaurant. Check out the Elkins map at the top of the FAQ for a visual reference.

Question

Where is Elkins Resort located?

Answer

Elkins Resort is on the western shore of Priest Lake in northern Idaho. The address is 404 Elkins Rd, Nordman, ID 83848.

Question

What is the best way to get there?

Answer

Most guests fly into Spokane International Airport (GEG), which is about 2 hours away by car. From there, you'll need to rent a car or carpool to the resort. It’s a scenic drive, but plan ahead as cell service can be spotty near the lake.

Question

Are there parking tips?

Answer

There are two main parking areas at Elkins Resort. The larger lot is located on the west side of the property, accessible from the main entrance. A second parking area is situated more centrally, near the lodge and cabins 12-17. Both lots provide easy access to the ceremony and reception areas via the lakeshore trail.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

Elkins has cabins available for rent, and many guests choose to stay onsite. These can fill up quickly, so it’s best to book early. There are also nearby lodging options, such as Hill’s Resort or Airbnb rentals around Priest Lake.

Question

What’s the weather like in June?

Answer

June usually brings mild days (mid-60s to mid-70s) and cooler nights (40s–50s). It’s generally sunny, but mountain weather can be unpredictable, bring a light jacket and maybe even rain gear just in case.

Answer
