Brooklyn

If you are staying at a hotel in downtown Brooklyn, it is a quick and easy subway ride into Manhattan! There is also plenty to do in Brooklyn, including the Brooklyn Museum (with an incredible Egyptian collection), Brooklyn Botanical Garden, Coney Island, the promenade near the Brooklyn Bridge, Prospect Park, and more. Here's a good overview I found: https://www.tripsavvy.com/brooklyn-visitors-guide-443441. Also see some food recs in the hotel area below.

Junior's Restaurant & Bakery

386 Flatbush Avenue Extension, Downtown Brooklyn, NY 11201
, (718) 852-5257

Close to the hotels and always worth a visit! It's a full restaurant in addition to the unforgettable cheesecake.

Dekalb Market Hall

445 Albee Square West, Downtown Brooklyn, NY 11201
, (929) 359-6555

Indoor food court, but no ordinary food court. Fantastic NYC food available here, including from famous places like Katz's. You could seriously eat every meal here. I personally vouch for Ample Hills Creamery, Bobbi's Italian, Cafe d'Avignon and Pierogi Boys.

Shake Shack

409 Fulton Street, Downtown Brooklyn, NY 11201
, (718) 307-7599

I mean, it's Shake Shack.

Brooklyn Bridge Walkway Starting Point

Brooklyn Bridge, Downtown Brooklyn, NY 11201

OK this isn't a food rec -- but if you want to walk across the Brooklyn Bridge, the starting point is right near the Marriott.

Grimaldi's Pizzeria

1 Front Street, Brooklyn Heights, NY 11201
, (718) 858-4300

Some say it's the best pizza in New York. It's definitely one of the longest-running most historical pizza places. Prepare to wait!

Noodle Pudding

38 Henry Street, Brooklyn Heights, NY 11201
, (718) 625-3737

Good Italian.

Bonchon Willoughby St

68 Willoughby Street, Downtown Brooklyn, NY 11201
, (718) 596-6078

Well-known Korean fried chicken chain.

Bedouin Tent

405 Atlantic Avenue, Boerum Hill, NY 11217
, (718) 852-5555

If you like middle eastern food, this is the place to go.

For all the days along the way
