So It Begins

Summer 2010

It was on a hot summer day in 2010 when Sarah walked down to the rally field at Oasis Summer Day Camp and caught Juan's attention immediately. Little did they know this encounter would change the course of their lives. This is where the story of Juan and Sarah begins.

It Just Got Real

Summer 2015

After years defined by long spans of time apart and hundred of miles between them, the stars finally aligned and brought Juan and Sarah together for good. The late night drives, the thousands of texts and countless nights spent alone all lead to this moment.

This is Happening

Winter 2018

On December 23rd, 2018, Juan and Sarah walked out the door and headed into the city together. Sarah went out to meet with a friend and Juan went out to pick up a "specially crafted Christmas present." Sarah was adamant about knowing what the present was and spent the entire train ride questioning Juan about the gift. When Juan told her it was an ornament for their first Christmas tree just before getting off, she knew something was up. The day passed and Juan got home before Sarah, just as he planned. He paced the apartment and played out the moment in his head repeatedly. He waited and waited....and waited. What was only a few hours felt like an eternity but finally his phone dinged: "I'm almost home!" Moments later, Sarah walked through the door. As usual, Juan greeted her with a hug, a kiss and a moment to unwind. He waited for the right moment to present itself and when Sarah walked into the bedroom to change into her PJ's, he knew it was time to act. He went to the Christmas tree, called Sarah out to show her the present he picked up. When Sarah came out she did not find an ornament. Instead, she found Juan on bended knee, one arm extended and voice trembling as he asked "Will you marry me?" What was physically the smallest gift of the year brought the biggest change in both their lives. Since you're reading this, you know she said "Yes!"
