Question

Will any part of the weekend be indoors?

Answer

No, please plan accordingly. Let us know if you have any questions about how to dress, what to bring, and how to prepare. In general, prioritize your warmth and comfort over your style :)

Question

What's the elevation?

Answer

7,935 ft. (aka HIGH)

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Very unpredictable, but we'll be hoping for low 70s in the afternoons. Chance of thunderstorms (and even snow) are always high in the mountains, but tend to blow through fast. There are several indoor spaces where we can take shelter while the storm rolls through. The evenings cool down substantially, and the nights will be cold, so don't be afraid to bring your giant puffy, rain jacket, and beanie just in case (you'll likely find Heather wearing those over her dress). https://weatherspark.com/m/3566/6/Average-Weather-in-June-in-Granby-Colorado-United-States

Question

Can I get altitude sickness?

Answer

Unfortunately, yes, anyone can, but we'll do our best to help you avoid it! Here are a few tips: - Stay well-hydrated and limit alcohol consumption (at least for the first 24 hours) - If you know you are predisposed to altitude sickness, you can ask your doctor for preventive medications such as acetazolamide (the brand name is “Diamox”); - Take acetaminophen or ibuprofen for mild headaches

Question

Can we bring our own food?

Answer

Yes! If you have kids or any dietary restrictions not offered on our RSVP (such as vegan, celiac, or lactose intolerant), we encourage you to bring snacks or notify us ASAP. Dinners will be provided on Friday and Saturday nights, and breakfast on Saturday and Sunday mornings. No lunch will be offered on Saturday as we figure people will be out out hikes, paddle boarding, or deep into lawn game tournaments. There are refrigerators in the Gold Home and the main lodge that you can use to store labelled food that needs to be kept cold. Feel free to reach out with any questions.

Question

What is the bathroom situation?

Answer

If you are tent camping, feel free to walk to any of the indoor bathrooms on site. There are three separate, shared bathrooms offered on site, that each have two toilets and two showers. One is near the Tipis, and the other two are near each cluster of glamping tents. For getting ready, there are also two showers and bathrooms in the Gold Home that we will make available to people getting ready before 1pm.
