At the Bear Mountain Golf Resort and Spa. Further details can found under the Schedule tab at the top of the page.
The ceremony will begin promptly at 1130 am. Late comers will not be admitted into the ceremony circle area, as per Bear Mountain policy.
Currently, Bear Mountain requires anyone entering the hotel area to wear a mask. The hotel does not provide them, so you will need a mask to walk through the hotel to where the ceremony is being held. You will also need to wear a mask to use the restrooms. No masks are required when outdoors.
Sadly, no. The PHA of BC does not allow dance floors or dancing of any kind, at this time, as they do not want people in such close proximity to each other. The two of us will still be doing a first dance.
We have a plan of how to take photos with all of our friends and family, including having photos done first with those that are at the highest risk. If you do not wish to be in photos or would prefer to wear a mask in photos, please inform the bride or groom at least one day prior to the wedding so that we can make arrangements with our photographer in regards to photo planning, to ensure an fun and easy photo experience for all.
We completely understand that there are worries and fears being around those that have recently traveled. Rest assured, we do not want anyone's health to be put at risk. All guests in attendance live on Vancouver Island and are from Victoria, Duncan, and Ucluelet. No one is traveling to our wedding from the mainland or elsewhere in Canada. We could not ask our loved ones to put their lives at such a high risk for one day of our lives.
