Our Story

Two lonely nerds hoping to one day find their partner in crime. November 17, 2018, in a little coffee in downtown Victoria, we met for the very first time. Little did we know that was the beginning of the rest of our lives. We quickly clicked, talking on a near-constant basis about everything from the most mundane tasks of our day to our favourite childhood memories. Almost one month after that fateful afternoon, on December 15, after a very memorable and awkward live theatre date, Teague asked Heather to be his girlfriend. It was sweet, awkward, and completely perfect. The year that followed has truly been the most amazing year of both of our lives. With adventures all over the island, an abundance of laughter and smiles, and boundless love, we knew that we were lucky to have found our partner, our soulmate, our other-half. On our first anniversary, December 15, 2019, we recreated one of our favourite dates. Of course, it was all about Christmas activities, knowing Heather and her love for the holidays this comes as no surprise. To end off the evening, we roasted marshmallows and made s'mores on the veranda at The Empress hotel. As we sat there overlooking the harbor and streets decked out in Christmas lights, cozied up next to the fire, we reminisced over all the wonderful memories and dates we had of the past year. As we walked away from the hotel, Teague asked Heather to clean off his fogged up his glasses. While she was distracted he got down on one knee, on the cold wet ground, and held out the most perfect of all rings. He talked about the wonderful and crazy journey we had been on together and that he wanted to continue that journey with her as his wife. There were a lot of tears, smiles, and laughter. Of course, she said yes, he is the love of her life after all!
