We will be taking the Dublin Afternoon tea trip on Monday September 22nd, at 11:00am. This adventure combines a spin around Dublin with the delight of afternoon tea: "Experience an afternoon tea tour of Dublin, but not just any afternoon tea – Afternoon Tea the Irish Way. Where you hop on board our 1960s vintage double decker bus and we take you on a jaunt through Dublin city all the while indulging in afternoon tea and listening to the Irish art of storytelling with our semi guided tour. Our trip begins on the beautiful Stephens Green and we take in the main sights of the city including Phoenix Park, Guinness Brewery & Georgian Dublin to name but a few. While guests are enjoying their sandwiches, cakes and warm scones our on board hosts regale them with their favourite stories of Dublin as we pass by. Our hosts are engaged with their stories and bring their own unique playful characters to their narrative." Please book directly on their website
We will be taking the 4:30pm daytime tour on Monday, September 22nd While we haven't had the chance to visit this location, it's been at the top of Heather's list of places to visit next. The museum offers an interactive storytelling experience focused on the myths and legends of Ireland: "The National Leprechaun Museum is a privately owned museum dedicated to Irish folklore and mythology, through the oral tradition of storytelling."
We will be visiting at 3:00pm on Tuesday, September 23rd. Guinness Storehouse is a classic attraction when visiting Dublin. Here you can learn more about the history and making of Ireland's classic stout and enjoy a cold pint in their rooftop pub, the gravity bar. It's got one of the best views in the city. After a fresh pint we'll head out for dinner and follow it up with a crawl of some of Dublin's best pubs.
This free museum is tucked away behind the Dublin Castle. Stop in for a look at some ancient art and a quick bite to eat.
Ireland has several national museums, grouped all together. The archeology museum is one of our favorites, though the Natural History Museum is a close second. We highly recommend adding these to your Dublin trip itinerary.
If you think you have Irish roots we loved this museum.
If you love illuminated manuscripts, typography, or libraries check out the Book of Kells in the Trinity Library.
