Gordon Moore

Best Man

As told by Pete: It was October 2008—a time of change and new adventures for me. After spending many years growing up in Central New Jersey, my family and I moved to Seaford, Delaware. It was quite the culture shock. I had spent my whole life in the New York suburbs—driving to the shore, visiting the city, navigating crowded roads. Suddenly, my world became calm, soft, and tranquil, surrounded by the quiet back roads, farmland, and open space of southern Delaware. Shortly after settling into our new home, I walked to the local park to play basketball. That’s where I met Gordon and his brothers, Blake and Jason, already on the court. It didn’t take long to realize that Gordon and I had a lot in common, and just like that, we became best friends. Over the years, Gordon and I have shared countless adventures—playing basketball, competing in card game tournaments, playing football, going to the cinema, playing D&D, even “surviving” the 2012 apocalypse together. We spent hours playing online games and occasionally escaping the farmland—whether traveling back to my hometown of Edison, New Jersey, or heading out on a cruise to the Bahamas! But the best thing of all is this: no matter what life throws at us, Gordon always meets it with optimism and an infectious sense of humor like no other. In a world of billions of people, Gordon is a rare anomaly—and I feel incredibly lucky to have found a friend like him!

Brock Spicer

Groomsman

As told by Pete: It was October 2009, and times were good. We were volunteering at the Haunted Forest in Maryland, earning hours toward our NJROTC community service ribbon. One of the standout scenes was a strobe-light maze, complete with hidden openings designed to scare the living daylights out of anyone brave enough to walk through it. That’s where Brock and I first met. Between walkthroughs, we’d take breaks and talk—shooting the breeze about sports, cracking jokes, and brainstorming the best ways to terrify the next group entering our maze. It didn’t take long to realize how much we had in common, and from that point on, a great friendship was formed. Brock has always had an intense passion for sports. He’s the best teammate you could ask for—whether it’s on the basketball court or in an online game. He’s the perfect companion for a football game and always brings sharp insight when it comes to picking March Madness brackets. Beyond sports, Brock is great company for a night at the movies, tough competition on the mini-golf course, and someone you can always count on when you need help. He lives his life with unwavering loyalty and dependability—qualities that make him truly admirable. Brock is the kind of friend that, if you’re lucky, you meet once in a lifetime—and I’m incredibly grateful that I did!
