We first met in our hometown middle school in sunny Jupiter, FL. As we both worked our way through school our paths once again crossed in high school in a Calculus class of all things, Lars had a way of getting on Heathers nerves as he sat right behind her. The real story begins after both of them graduated from different colleges, University of Florida & University of Central Florida. They started dating after they both returned home and as Lars was getting accepted to be in the US Navy. They both agreed to take an extreme leap of faith and commit to a long-distance relationship as he began his journey of service. Heather got her frequent flyer miles in as she started to travel to see him at a laundry list of locations.

As dynamic as life can be in the Military, Heather allowed Lars a stable rock to lean on at home. He quickly realized he had to snatch her up and put a ring on it. Before he went to Guam, he knew he only had one shot at getting her to commit to more time dealing with his stubborn self. After many days of planning he had her thinking she was going to a “nice dinner” with his parents but they had to stop by the Jupiter Beach Resort before to check-in. He handed her the key and the room was lined with rose petals and white Christmas lights and a little black box with the ring in it on the bed. She turned around and he was on one knee asking her to be his wife forever. SHE SAID YES! Lars set it up to have both sets of parents meet them at U-Tiki to celebrate and get ready for the next chapter.
