Hi friends! This is a quick reminder for those traveling in to attend our wedding. For both our Texas friends near the Dallas–Fort Worth area and guests flying in from out of town, I recommend arriving through Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) Airport. I’ve listed a hotel near my sister’s home in Bedford, Texas, which is about 15 minutes from the airport. Friday Night – Welcome Gathering My sister will be hosting a casual rehearsal party at her home in Bedford on Friday evening. I won’t be there, but my daughter Zoe, my sister, and many of our friends and family traveling in will be there. It will be a fun way for everyone to meet and kick off the weekend. Saturday Transportation to the Wedding Saturday morning we will have five passenger vans (15 seats each) transporting guests from the Bedford area to our home in Lometa. • Vans will leave promptly at 10:00 AM. • The drive is about 3 hours, with a quick pit stop along the way. • You should arrive around 1:00 PM. This will give everyone time to stretch, freshen up, and get settled before the ceremony. Wedding Ceremony 💍 The wedding will begin promptly at 2:00 PM. After the wedding, roping, and barbecue, the vans will drive to the hotels in Lampasas. Anyone that wants to go out can join the group and go out to a local establishment. Sunday morning the vans will pack up and leave around 9 AM to get everybody back to the Dallas Fort Worth area. I encourage everyone who’s booked an airline ticket to make it in the late afternoon so that there’s ample time to stop on the way back to DFW. We can’t wait to celebrate with you
💍 Our Story We both have a lot of mutual friends on Facebook who are part of the horse world — especially team roping. That’s where our paths first crossed. We started chatting about horses and life, and soon realized we shared similar humor and outlook on things. When we finally met in person at a team roping event, it felt like reconnecting with an old friend. We spent hours talking while getting to know each other, even though I (Heather) was still living in Los Angeles at the time. Our phone calls often stretched late into the night — full of laughter, stories from our past, and hopes for the future. We both had prayed for a good partnership — and were content if life meant staying single. God definitely heard our prayers. But the real test came when we spent ten days together over Thanksgiving. We got along like peas and carrots. It was easy, fun, and felt exactly right. Before long, I moved in while waiting for my house to sell in Los Angeles, and together we built a companion business alongside Kenny’s equine chiropractic work. It’s been a year full of love, laughter, and teamwork — both in the arena and at home. Then, one day at a roping, Kenny looked me in the eye (opting not to kneel, since his knees were sore!) and asked me to marry him right there beside our horse trailer. Of course, I said YES!
🤠 Things to Know Kenny and I are so excited to welcome our friends and family to celebrate with us at our home. Hosting a wedding on the ranch comes with a few logistical details, so we wanted to share what to expect to help everything run smoothly. Parking & Horses Friends and family driving in — including our local Texas friends and family who already know the way — as well as those bringing horses and staying overnight, will be guided on where to park upon arrival. We have a long driveway- but there will be some logistics parking a lot of cars and trucks. Out of town guests - who will be staying in Lampasas Saturday and leaving back to DFW.... please book your flights 2 PM or later on Sunday the 26th. Vans will be driving everyone back. It's a 3-hour drive. This will give ample time to drive and make a pit stop. Thank you all for helping us keep things organized — we can’t wait to share this special weekend with you under the Texas sky. 🐴💍
Hi friends, I wanted to share something very personal and meaningful with you. This past Sunday, February 15, I was baptized. Before saying “I do” to Kenny, I wanted to give my heart fully to Jesus. It still feels a bit surreal that it took so many years for my faith to be fully solidified, but I’m deeply grateful for the journey. We are officially in countdown mode — just over two months until the wedding.
