FAQs

If you have any queries ahead of the big day, please just give us a call.
Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

There is no formal dress code, but colourful dresses and summer suits would fit the vibe.

Question

Should I bring a gift?

Answer

As we’ve lived together for a year or two, we really don’t need anything new. But if you were thinking of getting us a small wedding gift, some money for our honeymoon wouldn’t go amiss.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Guest should arrive at St Lawrence's in Appleby no later than 12 noon. The Bride will arrive at 12:30pm.

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

Broad Close car park is the the nearest to St Lawrence's, situated on Chapel Street just 100 yards west of the church. Please don't forget to buy a ticket! Parking in the town centre is free but you will need to display a Cumbrian County Council parking disk, available from any of the local shops in Appleby. The max parking time is two hours. Upon arrival at Holesfoot, please bear right to find the onsite car park. Accommodating space for 60 vehicles, parking is provided on a first-come first-served basis.

Question

Where can guests meet before the Church ceremony?

Answer

The Groom will be having a stiff drink in the Crown and Cushion pub, immediately outside of the Church, before the ceremony. Please feel free to join him, his Best Men and his Groomsmen.

Question

I have a dietary requirement, can I make a request?

Answer

Of course, just make a note of it on your RSVP.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

We hope you will understand our decision to make the wedding a children-free occasion, and take the opportunity to let your hair down and celebrate in style!
