Weather permitting, dinner will be the only thing that will be indoors. As long as it's not raining, the ceremony and cocktails will be outdoors, followed by dinner indoors, followed by dancing outdoors.
Not unless specifically listed on the invitation (this will be older kids/teens only). For folks with younger kids: we love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off, and a party for grown-ups.
Check your invitation. If it has your name + someone else's, or if it says "and guest" after your name, then yes. Otherwise, we're just inviting you.
Cocktail attire, but if you want to wear comfortable shoes, no worries. (The bride will not be wearing heels!)
Yes, there's free valet parking. Or if you're not driving, you can take the Metro-North Harlem Line to the Botanical Garden station. The New York Botanical Garden entrance is just across the street from the station. If you are arriving by MetroNorth, please let Chris or Heather know in advance so that staff will be available to escort you via golf cart to the venue.
Check the Travel page here for info on a hotel near the venue.
We took the one on the top ourselves, in West Point Foundry Preserve. Photo credit for the bottom image goes to the photographer at RVA Paddlesports - we went rafting on the James River in Richmond in July 2021 and it was lots of fun!
