We have a room block reserved here. If you call to reserve just mention the Barbier-Girou wedding. The rooms are $199/night plus tax. Parking is $23/night (free in/out)/ There is also some street parking on St. Charles Ave (would avoid the side streets back into the neighborhood). It is on St Charles Ave so you can walk out the front door to take the street car into the French Quarter.

Places to stay

For an alternative to the hotel room block, look at AirBnB or similar sites for houses to rent (especially if multiple people are sharing). Most of the hotels in the French Quarter are more expensive and you will have to pay to park. If you don't have a car and want to be in the thick of things there is definitely plenty to do downtown though. If you don't have a vehicle but want to stay out of the Quarter look along St. Charles or Esplanade Avenue as you would then have Street Car access to get downtown. If you have a car you have more options as far as where to stay. Look in Metairie for less expensive options. The area around I-10/Clearview and I-10/Causeway interchanges have plenty of hotels and are more likely to have free parking. You can then hop on I-10 and get into town easily. There are a handful of hotels near the New Orleans airport but the airport is a good 30-40 min from downtown. If you have any questions about where to stay please feel free to ask us!
