The Bethel Inn Resort

Heather works at the Bethel Inn in the summer and fall months. If they are open (fingers crossed) it is a good place to stay. It's about 20 minutes to our house. It is close to restaurants and bars. Bethel is a cute little town.

Flight

Portland Maine

Portland jet port is small and usually a little more expensive with less flight options. However it's only about an hour and a half from our home. Boston airport has more flights at a cheeper rate but it is a good 3 hours with out traffic from us. If you are changing a flight the airlines are not charging to change your date. You also have an option to hold a credit you can use within a year.

Boston Logan International Airport

If you choose to fly into Boston you can rent a car and drive or there are shuttles that go to Portland.

House Or Rental

Air B&B

The closest places to rent are North Pond, Greenwood, Woodstock, Bryant Pond and Mt. Abram. If you have already rented an air B&B and are rescheduling for next year they will honor it. Some will give you your money back if it’s with in a reasonable time.

Travel Note

Concord Coach Lines

If flying into Boston Airport is Cheaper/ better flight, you can take a bus from Boston to Portland Maine. I think it leaves 4 times a day and costs between 22-30 each way.
