We’re getting married!

Charlie and I met in St Thomas in 2007 at a little place called Duffeys Love Shack. We did not actually date till 2017. Our relationship was tested almost Immediately by 2 Cat 5 Hurricane's that claimed Charlies Boats and business and most of our jobs and community. Our lives would never be the same. We moved in together and lived with out power or water for 4 months. Charlies parents moved in with us after losing their boat in Irma. In May 2018 we sold everything, packed up and moved into a 1969 VW Bus with a new puppy and traveled across country together starting in Washington state. There were many trials along the way including lot's of engine trouble and a very challenging budget.... But there were also so many blessings and magical moments. We made it to Wyoming when our world was crushed again. A young girl on her way to college hit the back of us going 80 MPH plus. The Van was totaled and we were sent to the hospital. All of our belongings were all over the freeway. We ended up in Maine living with Charlies parents for 5 months while looking for a house to buy instead of a sailboat. Our time frame and injuries did not allow us to buy a boat, outfit it, sail it and reopen simplicity charters. We closed on a beautiful little house on a river, in the mountains, close to several ski resorts in December of 2019. It was a crazy winter colder and more snow than anyone had seen in a very long time. In October 2019 Charlie took me for a ride to get out of the house. He chose a beautiful covered bridge close to Sunday River and popped the question. We are beyond excited to tie the knot on September 26, 2020 and continue this crazy adventure together.
