. DC is a very walkable city with a superb public transit system. It is more cost effective to take advantage of these offerings (Walking, Biking (ebikes), Scooters, metrorail, metrobus, free shuttles/buses) than to pay for parking fees. As an example a 1 day metro pass (rail and bus) is $13.50 and the average 24 hour parking is $65.00. To find out more about the Metro system see Things To Do.
