FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We would like everyone to RSVP by 01/12/2025

Question

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will definitely be missed! If you cannot attend our wedding please choose 'Will NOT Attend' on the RSVP so we can plan accordingly. If you have already RSVP'd 'Attending' but find that you can no longer make it please notify us as soon as you are aware.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will promptly start at 1.30pm. We ask that everyone arrives no later than 12.45pm so that we can start on time.

Question

Will the wedding be outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will take place outdoors, we'll then move inside for the meal and dancing.

Question

Will there be a dress code?

Answer

We would love to see all our friends and family dressed up for our big day! We do however kindly ask that the colour white is reserved for the bride only. Since the event is partially taking place outdoors on grass we recommend thicker heals or flats to ensure comfort for the first part of the day. Kilts are strongly recommended for the men as we'd love to uphold the Scottish tradition.

Question

Can I bring a guest/date?

Answer

We kindly request no extra guests or plus ones at our wedding. Only those named on your invitation are invited to help us create an intimate celebration with our close friends and family. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

While we would love to have your children celebrate with us we have decided to make our wedding an adults only celebration. We hope you understand and we look forward to celebrating with you!

Question

What can we get you as a gift?

Answer

Your presence is more than enough! While we're not having a traditional gift registry (please disregard the registry tab on the website) if you would like to gift us something we will have a card box at the reception as we are unable to take any gift back over to Australia. Please know that this is entirely optional - what matters most is that you're there with us to make memories on our big day that being said if you do feel like shoving fistfuls of cash into our hands, we wont stop you!

Question

Saying goodbye?

Answer

At the end of the night we'd really love to enjoy the last of what the band plays so if you are on your way out we strongly encourage an Irish Exit! If we're lucky enough to see you on the Sunday we can catch up then, if not feel free to send us a message. There will be a taxi service to take those staying in the area home safely.

Question

How do I get there?

Answer

Its best to arrive by car. To navigate put the destination as Ballogie House as the post code will take you to the farm. Please note there is a car park at the venue.
