We are deeply saddened to inform you that due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, we will not be having our wedding reception as planned on August 1st. We have thought long and hard about this decision and cried too many times to count (okay, Abbie has cried too many times to count). But we feel that August will be too soon to gather all of our loved ones together and potentially put them in danger. Through careful consideration, we have decided to go through with our Catholic Mass Ceremony on August 1st with just a small gathering of our immediate families and hopefully our Bridal Party. We both agree that no virus is going to stop us from sharing our love with God! While we would love to have you with us in the Church to witness our Holy Matrimony, the state laws will probably not allow us to have a gathering so large by that time. We appreciate your understanding on this and want you to know how lucky we are to have you in our lives! We apologize for any plans made and hope that in the future we will be able to celebrate our marriage with you in some way. Please continue to stay safe during this time and know that there are brighter days to come! We love you and we thank you for supporting us and our decision, The Future Mr. and Mrs. Babin
Eric and I met my freshman year, his sophomore year, of college at ULL. We hit it off immediately but were just friends, despite both of us admitting later on that we had crushes on each other all throughout college. Some years go by and we are still just friends, talking often. He was even my knight in shining armor when my junior year formal date cancelled two days before. He showed up, with minimal notice, in a tux and with a bottle of Patron! <3 By 2016 I had graduated UL and I had started graduate school in Atlanta. We had lived in the same state for YEARS but somehow THIS seemed like the perfect time to start dating. So he came to visit me in Atlanta and meet my family in June of 2017 and that's when we called it official. I moved back to the state where it all began and the rest is history!
