We're gettin' hitched!

Ben and Rachel met in November of 2013, during a heated game of kickball. Rachel, who is only competitive about Scrabble, wanted nothing to do with her opponents, who took the game even more seriously than her elementary school students. Benjamin, on the other hand, was immediately drawn to Rachel's distaste for him and general 'tude. He then did what any guy interested in a girl does... he used a fake name. Luckily, Rachel gave "Dave" her very real phone number. He used it immediately. • • • • • • • Since then, Rachel and Ben have traveled the world together. From Cleveland to Cleveland Park, Vienna, Austria to Vienna, Virginia, Thailand to the Thai restaurant below their Capitol Hill apartment. Their travels have taken them on some incredible adventures! Though they have bonded with elephants, eaten street food in Mexico City, walked on a glacier, and gone to the opera dressed to the nines, some of their favorite memories have been spent at home in D.C. They’ve planted a lemon tree, cooked up cheesy potatoes, hosted holiday dinners, and run into a total of 8,532 parents of Rachel’s students in all four quadrants of the city. Then, back where it all began, Benjamin proposed on the National Mall where they first met during that contentious game of kickball. Though they have had some amazing adventures so far, it's nothing compared to what is still in store for Ben and Rachel. The best is yet to come! ♥
