Our love story begins when we both swiped right on each others dating profiles. We talked for a while and then one night I got the crazy idea to drive 3 hours to Lima, OH to meet him. The address he gave me took me to a campus racetrack and I definitely thought to myself that this guy is not real and I have been catfished, but then he came out to the parking lot and found me. We spent the rest of the night getting to know each other (shockingly Alex was very nervous and shy around me) and we spent the rest of the night watching Impractical Jokers.
The night before Alex proposed he text me at work that he was bringing the chinchilla's cage out to the living room to "spend time with Chili". Well that night at work had not been the greatest because I ripped my scrub pants and I was just ready to go home and go to sleep. I start to unlock the door and Alex starts yelling don't come in! My initial thought was OH GOD THE CHINCHILLA IS ON THE LOOSE AND MY HOUSE IS DESTROYED! When he opened the door he had music playing and walked me over to the chinchilla cage with a letter on it with the proposal.
Not many people can say they had to postpone their wedding due to a global pandemic! But our wedding, faced a small bump in the road when Alex and I had to make the tough decision to postpone our wedding because of COVID-19 to protect the health of our loved ones. It was definitely not an easy decision to make when we had spent so much time planing and we were so excited for the big day, but we learned the biggest lesson that love is patient.
We would like to thank all of our family and friends for the love and support, you have truly made our big day memorable. We're so excited to start this new journey of our lives together!
