True and Audrey met during their time in the Baylor Chamber of Commerce. Specifically, the two met when Audrey served as one of True's pledging captains... but those are stories for another time! When his pledging days were over, True and Audrey were friendly, but they hardly spent enough time around the other to know one another. Over the course of a few months, True and Audrey were brought together by the bear-y best matchmakers around: Baylor's own Joy and Lady! Taking care of the bears brought True and Audrey together morning, noon, and night! Soon, they began to spend time together outside of the habitat, grabbing lunch in the dining halls or sneaking off-campus for popsicles. The duo soon felt that all this time together wasn't enough and spent nearly every night falling asleep on the phone together. The two had become practically inseparable! Dating took a bit longer. Even after the formal "I like you"s were said and done, True and Audrey would still take a few months to get the show on the road (those of you who know Audrey know this is quite a display of patience). One summer weekend, True was visiting Waco when he asked Audrey to dinner; she was certain it was a date! True, on the other hand, did not believe that it was. After some helpful clarification from a friend, it was official: the couple would be going on their first real date! (Makayla, wherever you are, thanks for telling True it WAS a date!) Though True and Audrey took their time making it official, once they did, it only took them a quick twelve days to realize they already loved another! But hey, you know what they say: when you know, you know! Fast forward two and a half years, True decided to pop the question! On a trip to Disney celebrating their recent graduation, True proposed to Audrey surrounded by the backdrop of the happiest place on Earth. Now, True and Audrey are counting down the days until "I DO! and looking forward to celebrating with you, their closest family and friends!
