We're Getting Married!

It all started when Jayden posted one of those cheesy, middle school “Like for a ‘to be honest…’” posts on Instagram. Kate was a middle school girl who liked all “To be honest…” posts, so she quickly “liked” Jayden’s and commented her phone number so he could text it to her. The text came in: “TBH you’re cute and we should talk sometime.” Excited that someone thought she was cute, Kate literally has not left Jayden alone since. Although she friend-zoned him for a few months because he was a big eighth-grader and she was only in seventh, Kate finally gave in on approximately the twelfth time of Jayden asking Kate to be his girlfriend on the day after Valentine’s Day.

Like every other year before, Kate and Jayden were planning to go to the Pleasant View Apple Orchard. When arriving at the orchard, Kate was ready to immediately go to the pumpkin patch so she could get the best pumpkin before anyone else got it. Jayden had to stop at the bathroom. He always has to stop at the bathroom. When he finally came out (probably from rehearsing the proposal in the stall, but I'm just guessing), they started to walk towards the pumpkin patch. Jayden said something like, "Hey, let's walk down some aisles of the apple trees and look around." Kate was annoyed but trying to hide it. There were no apples left on these types of trees, therefore no reason to look at them? Also, someone was going to take the best pumpkins? Nonetheless, she tried to stay cheerful... She said, "Wow, this would be romantic if they played music out here." Jayden agreed, probably hoping that the setting was already romantic. Then out of the trees ran a puppy. "That's the cutest puppy I've ever seen!" Kate said. Jayden called the puppy and tried to get him, which Kate thought was just him trying to be helpful, because Jayden is always doing helpful stuff like that that Kate doesn't think to do. Then Kate saw that the dog's bandana said "Will you marry me?" and Jayden was down on one knee trying to wrangle the puppy. Kate assumes Jayden said something really sweet, but to be honest, she blacked-out and doesn't know what he said. Kate yelled, "Are you kidding me?!", in shock, but eventually said "Yes." Don't worry, Jayden still took Kate and their new puppy to the pumpkin patch and got them both the best pumpkins.
