Public park in Lebanon -- Perfect for kiddos! There are two HUGE playgrounds, a walking path, and a splash park. Best of all, it is free!
Our beautiful, local state park. There is a lovely nature center and plenty of great walking or hiking trails. Douglas likes the 4.2 mi loop called Hidden Springs Trail.
About an hour drive east of Lebanon. Beautiful state park with a huge, natural water fall! The trail is an easy, short hike. Douglas and I like to pack a lunch and enjoy it on the banks of the Falling Water River.
Looking for antiques? Lebanon has several shops, but this is our favorite.
The Providence shopping area has pretty much any shop you can think of -- Kroger, Target, TJMaxx, Old Navy, etc. There are also lots of restaurants in the area and a movie theatre. Our favorite restaurants: The Goat Mt. Juliet (good brunch), Jonathan's (lunch or dinner), M.L. Rose (burgers)
The Opryland Hotel, The Grand Ole Opry, and Opry Mills mall are next to each other and about 30 min from Lebanon. Opry Mills has many restaurants and shopping options. The Opryland Hotel is worth a visit to see the iconic greenhouse atrium. There are shops and restaurants inside. The Grand Ole Opry is a famous, history country music venue. See a show or check out a tour of the concert hall.
Our favorite brunch in Nashville. Located right next to the Green Hills mall, this place is a literal greenhouse. We love a mimosa & the "The Dolly" scramble. Approx. 35 min. from Lebanon, TN.
Our local restaurant and watering hole. Tons of menu options and located on the Lebanon historic town square. The square has many cute shops to stop by.
Local brews and great pizza!
Of course, we have to mention Downtown Nashville (approx 40 min from Lebanon). There are SO many things to check out downtown. We like to walk the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge, which is over the Cumberland River. Broadway is a nationally known party street with many bars and live music. It can be VERY busy, so be mindful of crowds and folks that are not sober. There are so many iconic bars, and it is worth a visit (even just for a quick view). Restaurants we like: Blanco, Twelve Thirty Club, TENN Bars we like: Kid Rock's, Ole Red, Robert's Western World
Located downtown and home to the Nashville Parthenon. Built in 1897, this full-scale replica of the Athenian Parthenon also houses American art galleries.
If you're looking for a Sunday church service, we love attending CrossPoint Mt. Juliet. Their music ensemble is like seeing a concert and the message is always memorable. There are live services at 9am and 11am on Sundays.
Our local bowling alley. Enjoy a couple rounds of bowling and some brews (they serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic bevs).
Beautiful botanical gardens and estate located west of Downtown.
