Train

Toulon Train Station

If you're already in France and don't have a car, the train is genuinely a lovely option. Toulon has a main TGV-accessible station with good connections from Paris (about 3.5 hours), Marseille (about 30 minutes), and Nice (about an hour). From the station, you can arrange a taxi to your accomodation. It's a clean, scenic ride and honestly one of the more stress-free ways to travel in the South of France. That said, if you're planning to explore the region before or after the wedding, we'd strongly recommend renting a car. These towns were built for wandering, not just arriving.

Flight

Marseille Provence Airport (MRS)

The closest airport to the venue, about 1.5 hours away. There are no direct flights here from the US, so everyone will be connecting, most commonly through Paris, London, Amsterdam, or Lisbon. Once you land, car rental is easy and recommended. This is the airport to choose if you're planning to base yourself in Provence before or after the wedding: Aix-en-Provence, Cassis, Bandol, and Bormes-les-Mimosas are all within easy reach, and the slower, more "properly French" experience of the region is very much worth the extra connection.

Flight

Nice Côte d'Azur Airport (NCE)

Nice Côte d'Azur Airport is about 1.5 hours from the venue, and the better option if you're flying from the US. From New York, Delta and Air France both operate direct seasonal flights from JFK, and September falls right in that window. From LA, Air France has announced a direct LAX to Nice route launching May 2026, so check availability as it gets closer. For everyone else, connecting through Paris Charles de Gaulle is the most straightforward route. Car rental is available at the airport, but if you're planning to base yourself along the Riviera in Antibes or nearby, the coastal train is excellent and you may not need one until wedding day.

Hotel

Le Domaine Des Gueules Cassées

151 Avenue André Dupuy, La Valette-du-Var, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur 83160, France

This is our venue, and while it is slightly outside of Toulon, it is possible to stay here. The Domaine was founded in the aftermath of World War I by an association created to support soldiers disfigured in combat, known as "Les Gueules Cassées," meaning those who smile anyway. Rooms are limited, so if you'd like to stay on site, we'd recommend booking early. Reservations are made by phone directly with the venue or via their website.

Hotel

Best Western Plus La Corniche

17 Littoral Frédéric Mistral, Toulon, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur 83000, France

Best Western Plus La Corniche is a four-star hotel right on the waterfront in Le Mourillon, one of Toulon's loveliest neighborhoods. It sits facing a small Mediterranean fishing port, steps from the Mourillon beaches, with sea-view rooms, balconies, a garden, and a bar patio. Restaurants and cafés are all within easy walking distance. We have a room block for the night before and night of the wedding. Message either Hayley or Renaud to place your name against one. Can you say departure time and intervals to return TBC soon. Kindly note that transportation will be provided from the Best Western Plus La Corniche to the Domaine Des Gueules Cassées for the wedding day events. Departure time and return shuttle intervals are still being finalized and will be shared soon.
