Hayley and Olly both attended Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. Our first meeting was at Hayley’s 21st birthday party, with Olly having been invited by mutual friends of Hayley’s. We met again three months later at a bar and really hit it off. After that, we spent almost all our time together, finishing off college together.

After graduating in 2021, we both got apartments in the North Austin area. One of us was always at the other’s, and so naturally, the next step was to move-in together. In April of 2023, we were fortunate to be able to purchase a wonderful house we now call home with our two pups, Koe and Winnie.

Hayley doesn’t like surprises, so she knew the engagement was coming, she’d custom built her ring after all. What she didn’t know, was how exactly it would happen. In 2025, we took an amazing two week trip to Europe, spending time in London, Amsterdam, Florence, and Barcelona. While in Florence, Olly booked a night stay at a boutique villa overlooking the city of Florence. It was there, in the most serene place we’d been, that Olly asked Hayley to spend the rest of her life with him. After celebrating, we traveled to some of the most beautiful vistas in the city to take engagement photos that we’ll keep forever. It was a trip we will never forget.
