Matron of Honor
I would not be the person I am today without the love, support, and friendship of my little sister. Shayna is truly one of a kind; she can turn anything into a game, make strangers feel like friends, and brighten my day with one goofy look. She is my sister, hero, and best friend all in one.
Best Man
Pete and I have been friends since high school and he has been there for me through thick and thin. He was there for the genesis of Hayley's and my relationship and has supported us in innumerable ways to this very day. An uncle to Archie, a dear friend to Hayley and a brother to me, he is very much part of this family. His love has helped make me the man I am today and for that I will be forever thankful. Cliche? Maybe. True? Absolutely, 100%.
Bridesmaid
The first time we met, we belted every-word to Hamilton at the top of our lungs (I nowhere matched her talent, but shared her enthusiasm). Since then we've performed Frozen in the back of a cab and cried watching Andre Shields on Broadway. I've found a wonderful friend in Anna and can't wait to call her my sister!
Groomsman
Christian and I met at DeMatha Highschool freshman year. I feel confident that I have not laughed so much or so hard with anyone else in the world. From D.C. to Nola to wherever brings us next, I know we'll always be able to step right back into laughter and good times no matter how far apart we may live from each other. Our lives have intertwined in so many wild ways that it seems like a forgone conclusion that he would stand with me as I marry Hayley. Christian, I'm gonna hug your face off!
Bridesmaid
Kate and I experienced our own "meet-cute" when we were set up on a blind friend-date. To my surprise, it felt like we had known each other our whole lives. We took DC by storm in our twenties, learned some lessons, made some memories, and now live down the street from each other with our loves (one human, one fluffy). My life in DC would be incomplete w/out you.
Groomsman
The first time Adam and I met we ended up playing Wii Sports until the sun rose. After fifteen years, and plenty more sunrises, we have so many great memories to share. I was his first roommate when he bought his house (The Cottage) and we lived together for four years. Backyard parties, Friendsgivings, late night gaming sessions, and plenty of Catan made it the best place to call home before I moved in with Hayley. Adam creates an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere wherever he goes, thus, the party always follows!
Bridesmaid
We met on the first day of graduate school orientation, when I immediately wanted to befriend the cool, boho-chic girl across the room. Just two weeks later, Emily traveled an hour across the city with a bottle of wine to raise my spirits after a tough day, because that is the type of person Emily is. We've been inseparable ever since.
Groomsman
My man, Wes! He and I met while working at Denson Liquor Bar and by the end of our first shift together we knew this was the real deal. Yes, I had met my work hubby. Things escalated quickly and before I knew it I was bringing him home to meet my friends. They, of course, loved him. Then, the real test; I introduced him to Hayley. Like with everyone he meets, Wesley quickly showed her why he is one of my closest friends.
Bridesmaid
Talia entered my orbit like a loud, fiery comet my freshman year at IU and life has never been the same. She may be small, but she loves deeply and laughs loudly. Talia defines what it means to be a friend each and every day and I'm so lucky to have her by my side.
Groomsman
Richard and I grew up across the street from each other but we didn't become close friends until highschool. When we did, though, we leaned in pretty hard. As a matter of fact, Rich is the guy who connected me to Adam, Gideon, Pete and many more of my good friends. That's what he likes to do, connect people. He has an uncanny ability to find commonalities where you yourself might not see them at first. Richard is also one of my favorite people to hug.
Bridesmaid
My sorority sister and fellow art and music enthusiast at IU. Julianna is always patient, always kind, and, most importantly, always present. I have learned and continue to learn so much from her.
Groomsman
Moe! Another D.C. native, Porter and I were in each other's orbits from a pretty young age. It was later in New Orleans where we solidified our friendship with hot summer days working on houses and then heading to Prytania Bar for cold beers. A true Renaissance man, Porter will be playing banjo one moment and building something spectacular the next. This man brought me to Home Depot once and made me smell and appreciate no fewer than six different types of wood. He brings his incredible energy and passion to whatever he does and we're all luckier for it.
Bridesmaid
My first friend in Phi Mu and college roommate. The best person to share pizza and late night conversations with on Betsy Sue (our futon). Perri may be elegant, but she can rap Nicki Minaj with the best of them.
Groomsman
David Michael Thompson is the reason I love tequila. That, among many, many other reasons, is why I love the guy. We've know each other since at least first grade and he's always been an absolute joy to be around. He is one of the most personable, love-able and outright fun people we have in our lives. Dave is ALWAYS down for an adventure so when you meet him in Nola, be sure to see what he's got cookin'. I have no doubt it'd be worth a story for your grandkids.
Bridesmaid
The Mary-Kate to my Ashley, Katie and I grew up next door to each other and entered adulthood together as freshman year roommates at IU. Katie is brilliant, powerful, and incredibly generous. If you are lucky enough to know her, you never let her go.
Groomsman
Johnny Wish is my cousin and oldest friend. He's one of the most selfless and empathetic people I've ever known and he's got an incredibly positive outlook on life. While he's my younger cousin, he is wise beyond his years and always helps give me a healthy perspective on whatever is going on in my life. Known for turning the pains of life into strength for himself and others, I truly admire him more than I can put into words. I know that on the big day he'll be ready with lots of laughs, hugs and a couple of cold brews.
Bridesmaid
The best type-B friend to balance my type-A antics. Kristyn and I met in Girl Scouts and spent our teenage years together at choir, dance, and Dairy Queen (our first job). She's funny without even trying and wise beyond her years.
Groomsman
Affectionately known as Grandma Gid in some circles, Gideon is one who knows what he wants. He is a grand-master of the Irish Goodbye technique and has no qualms about it. He will, however, absolutely show up and show out for a good time. Reliable, honest, and always good for a laugh, I am lucky to call him one of my close friends. He, along with his wonderful/generous/caring wife, Rachel, and their beautiful daughter, Liza, (with a BOY on the way!) are much loved by our family.
Bridesmaid
My ultimate teammate (or competitor), Rachel and I were side-by-side for almost everything in high-school. We were both Harry Potter nerds, top of the class (she beat me), tennis teammates, and choir enthusiasts. She may be a goof, but watch out for her wicked forehand.
Groomsman
Mike Boundy is one of the most fun, sassy and unfailingly polite guys I've ever know. He has the honor of being married to my incredible future sister-in-law, Shayna, and y'all know what that means... I get a brother! We've both been pretty darn excited about this and I'm so happy to have him stand with me while we make it official. We have our work cut out with these Prihoda sisters (who talk basically every day) so consider us a brilliant brotherly alliance. See you on the dance floor, Boundy Hunter.
Bridesmaid
We were sorority sisters and roommates in college, but adulthood brought us even closer. Ellyn is the best date for all occasions: dancing, visiting museums, hiking, and, of course, tailgating. A true ride or die.
Officiant
Will Ayrea is as warm and kind-hearted as the sun is bright. You may think that's a bit overkill but that's only because you probably haven't met him yet! We are incredibly fortunate and excited knowing that he will be officiating our wedding. When we asked him to be our officiant, he happily agreed and casually mentioned that he's already been ordained, so we won't have to worry about that. He, his incredible wife Maggie (and now their beautiful baby girl Josephine!) have been some of the most wonderful additions to our lives. Love you so much!
Archer Escort
My first DC roommate (okay, we were in Bethesda) and the woman credited with introducing Mike and I. We are complete opposites in some ways, but best friends where it matters. Kira is up for anything and keeps us all young.
Ring Bearer
Hi! My name is Archer and I am a very distinguished gentleman. I am very excited for my parents to get married and give everyone an excuse to meet me and see how cute I am in person. I am an only child, and sometimes I act like it, but that's okay because Mommy tells me I'm an angel and the most beautiful thing in the world and I'm her favorite and I'm special and she loves me. Dad does too but he's a bit more chill about it. Be sure to watch me bring them their rings as I barrel down the aisle because, again, I am very excited!
