Wedding Party

Austin Evans

Maid of Honor

Hayley and Austin met freshman year of college at University of Portland when they were both coxswains for the UP rowing team but were also desperately homesick. They spent the next two years going on adventures and reading all the books in Powells. Austin left Portland after their sophomore year to go to WSU, which Hayley has still not forgiven her for, and they both took their turns moving around the country. But Austin will always be my person.

Sarah Lemke

Maid of Honor

Sarah and Hayley had a funny way of meeting four fateful years ago. Sarah was one of Hayley’s patients and usually her favorite part of the work day. When Hayley decided that it was time to move to her next job she was sad to tell Sarah the news but Sarah replied “are we allowed to be friends now?” Ever since then Sarah has been the best friend to navigate the ups and downs of life with. And swap books back and forth!

Hannah Bailey

Bridesmaid

Hannah is the youngest sibling of the NaBailatanostegs clan. Hannah immediately made me feel welcomed into this loud and loving family. Her love for her brothers and her family is one that nothing can rival and I am so excited to get to call her my sister!

Denise Vavra

Bridesmaid

We have to thank Britton for bringing this beautiful soul into our lives. The night we met Denise may have included a parrot, scraped up ankle, and some interpretive karaoke but that is all the needs to be said. Ever since then Denise has been an amazing friend always down for some serious girl talk over a glass of wine or any crazy adventure we come up with.

Demi Peterson

Bridesmaid

Demi is the ultimate Crossfit badass, dog-loving, up for anything friend. I got to know Demi through Josh’s cheer group and I feel so lucky for that. Demi is such a supportive friend and always down for an adventure.

Courtney Diaz

Bridesmaid

Courtney is the ultimate charcuterie board host, dog momma, and girl talk confidant anyone could ask for. Courtney welcomed me into the group immediately and made it feel like I had always been there. She is always up for a good wine and HomeGoods trip too!

Brittany Hecker (aka Hecker)

Bridesmaid

I know her name is technically Brittany but I just can't do that. To us she will always be Hecker. Hecker is one of those friends that you know if you needed anything she would drop whatever she was doing and be there. She always has a smile on her face and makes sure that even when life gets crazy we never loose track of each other.

Jeffrey Hengesteg

Best Man

I’ve probably known Jeff the longest. He is my older brother, protector, best friend and now Best Man. We often find ourselves laughing about some inside joke or long tangent and enjoy getting our siblings together for big dinners and JackBox.

Christopher Diaz

Best Man

Diaz is my oldest friend. Our relationship has evolved from coach, teammate, boss to best friend over the past 20 years. He is also a Best Man and the keeper of many stories we created together.

Hunter Bailey

Groomsman

When our parents married, Hunter and I were blessed by gaining another brother. As we grew up so did our bond. Hunter is my gentle giant and is always there beside you with a big deep laugh. He is also engaged!

Alex Keenan

Groomsman

Alex is the YOUNGER brother of the bride, even though in his phone Hayley is still labeled "little sister". Gaining another brother through marriage is like winning the lottery. Alex is a soft spoken person but rich with conversation and love for his people. He and I might have the youngest friendship but that does not diminish the laughs we have shared and memories made.

Ethan Olesen

Groomsman

I met Ethan at a state competition, I was on UW at the time and he, WSU. You’ll have to ask him to tell the story. When I did end up coming out to WSU we found that we shared a lot of the same passions and spent many nights trading off who was going to host the party that weekend. Ethan is one of my closest friends and we would still argue who can throw a better party.

Alex Ellig

Groomsman

I first met Alex when I went out to visit WSU, when I had zero intention to ever go there. Over the years of working together we spent a lot of time driving, talking and creating memories we still laugh about today. He has always been a brother to me and time is never wasted when we are together.

Ryan Yakubek

Groomsman

Yak and I have known each other for years but really got close at WSU. We cheered together and through that bond found that we were damn near the same person almost too much so. Now we spend time together golfing, gaming or just sitting and shooting the breeze.

Ryan Smith

Groomsman

Smitty and I were teammates at WSU but also roommates, along with Ethan. It was that year we got close. A lot of our time was spent sharing stories and random adventures across the Palouse. It was then we learned that we would be friends for a long time. We always keep in touch and get together to hit a bucket of balls and catch up.

Britton Vavra

Groomsman

Britton and I shockingly meet through cheer. We worked together at Connect and spent many a weekend at their house in Kingsgate. Over the past 5 years we have become closer than ever before and confide in each other’s confidence. It is rare to have a friend who will speak blunt and honestly to you, as well as sarcastic and I wouldn’t change it for anything.

Christoff Elster

Groomsman

Technically I met Christoff before Diaz, making our friendship the longest friendship I have. He was the one who got me into cheerleading and on a path that would change the course of my life. Thankfully his constant pranks and prodding jokes and never slowed.
