Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Hayley Griffin and Jack Carey
A handful of the things to do whilst your there!

Explore the Paths, Alleys, and Stairwells of Fira, Firostefani, and Imerovigli

Thera, 847 00, Greece

This is the single best thing to do on Santorini – and it’s free! The views are incredible. Start in Fira and move north through Firostefani and then Imerovigli. Wear a sturdy shoe for the walk or a comfortable pair of flip flops. The route isn’t completely marked but it’s fairly intuitive: stay on the path that follows the edge of the caldera and walk north (when in doubt stay to the left/west). All 3 towns have beautiful views and are worth a walk-through.

Explore the Paths, Alleys, Stairwells and Sunset of Oia

Oia, 847 02, Greece

Oia has even more hidden pathways than Fira. Be sure to get off the main path and explore the magical views you’ll stumble upon. A good place to start is to find the restaurant Lotza then take the path down the cliff directly to the right of the restaurant. Also the most famous spot for the sunset however arrive early as it does get stupidly busy!

Le Moustache Caldera Pool Lounge & Restaurant Santorini Imerovigli

Imerovigli, 847 00, Greece
, +30 2286 024091

Le Moustache is a vibrant, unparalleled new dining spot of Santorini where guests can relish in a unique culinary experience. Overlooking the island’s sunset reflecting on the sea the Restaurant is a warm and friendly place designed to serve guests some of the most refined flavors of the modern Greek and Mediterranean gastronomy. Natural colors and materials combine perfectly throughout the restaurant’s open terrace. They form a sophisticated space emanating a relaxed and soothing atmosphere of gentle simplicity. Ideally located in the quiet village of Imerovigli and carved at the edge of the famous Caldera, Le Moustache is the perfect place to indulge in a delicious culinary journey into the tastes of Santorini Island. Book your Cabana or Pouf Sun Beds and enjoy our Exclusive Infinity Pool with Caldera and Sunset View

Dinner with a Sunset View

Imerovigli, 847 00, Greece

The food is often better when you go to a restaurant without a view. But regardless, you have to have dinner with a view of the caldera at least one night while in Santorini. The Athenian House is a great restaurant with a caldera and sunset view

Tour the island on Quad Bikes

Thera, 847 00, Greece

You can hire a quad bike from nearly any town and is definitely the most exciting way to get around the island!

Open Air Cinema Kamari

Kamari, 847 00, Greece
, +30 2286 033452

Family-friendly fun (depending on what’s playing, of course). Watch a movie outside as the sun sets and the sky grows dark. Wine, beer, and simple snacks available. Movies start around 9:30pm. Sundays and the first and last day of any movie run are the busiest days. I recommend getting here when the doors open at 8:30 to ensure a seat. There’s a bus stop directly across the street with buses back to Fira. In summer the last bus should be after the movie is out but check the schedule to be sure

Jet Ski Tour To The Volcano

Thera, 847 03, Greece

There are three options: The South Coast Tour (visit the beaches and swimming spots along the south coast). Or the Volcano Tour (south coast tour plus a trip into the caldera with a visit to the volcano and hot spring). Or the Extreme Volcano Tour (the volcano tour plus a trip across the entire caldera with visits to Thirassia and Ammoudi Bay below Oia). Recommended is the volcano tour – the south coast tour doesn’t have views of the caldera and the extreme volcano tour can feel pretty long unless you’re in decent shape – but it’s incredible if you think you’re good for a few hours on a jet ski (there are plenty of rest and swim breaks for all tours). Tours are small. If you book for two or three there’s a good chance it’s just your party on the tour.

Santorini Sea Kayak

Akrotiri, 847 00, Greece
, +30 695 180 1051

The Morning Tour and Sunset Tour explore the south coast of Santorini (cool but you don’t get to see the caldera). The Round The Lighthouse Tour goes into the caldera and provides incredible views of the caldera cliffs. There’s also a good SUP and snorkeling tour (but it doesn’t go into the caldera).

Craziest Bar in Santorini

Thera, 847 00, Greece

200 meters south of the Koo Club is the Two Brothers bar. If you let the bartender hit you over the head with a bat (while wearing a helmet) you get a cheap liquor shot. It sounds obnoxious (and it is) but the saving grace is that everyone here is super friendly and there’s very little attitude. Good times

Best place to party

Perissa, 847 03, Greece

A beach with amazing cocktail bars, a chilled vibe during the day and the best spot for live music several nights a week!

Santorini Wines, Wineries, and Wine Tours

Santorini Island, 847 00, Greece
, +30 2286 021100

Santorini is famous for its wineries and is one of the highlights of a Santorini trip. Wine tours are incredibly popular on Santorini and they fill up quickly so booking early is recommended! Many wineries offer tours and wine tasting but if you want to visit multiple wineries, book a wine tour (most wineries are small and hard to find if you don’t know the island well). Most tours will also include hotel pickup and drop off.
