Getting to Boracay

The Wedding Website of Hayle Glaiza Cayaga and Kyren Andrew Barrios
We highly recommend booking travel and accommodations as soon as possible. Ideally 10-6 months in advance. Once you have your travel booked, please send your itinerary to: hcayaga@gmail.com

Travel Note

Getting to Boracay.

You are heading to one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The journey is long, but it is worth it! There are quite a bit of logistics involved in having a wedding in paradise (by land, by air and by sea). Here's a quick summation of what traveling to Boracay will entail: 1. Roundtrip flight from US to Manila (MNL airport) 2. Flight from Manila to Caticlan (Godofredo P. Ramos/MPH Airport) 3. Shuttle/transport (5 min) to Caticlan Jetty Port ** 4. Boat ride (10 min) to Boracay Port ** 5. Shuttle/transport to your hotel ** ** Your hotel may offer these Boracay transfers; please inquire with your hotel or our travel agent.*

Travel Note

March 20 Wednesday Land in Manila in the morning. Take a Grab (equivalent of Uber; download app prior) Check-in at BGC or Makati. Relax, unwind, acclimate. Meet with us for food and drinks! There’s a direct flight from Caticlan airport to El Nido through Airswift Airlines.* If you're not exploring another island after the wedding, you can fly back to Manila then to your next destination / home.

Flight

From the US Fly Into Manila Airport (MNL)

The Philippines is approximately a 14 hour flight from the U.S. The cheapest option from Home to Manila is going to be with a layover. Philippine Airlines is the only airline that flies direct from the U.S to Manila. Manila International Airport (MNL) is the main airport in the Philippines. Upon arrival, you can either spend a day in Manila to acclimate (and eat some great food), then fly out to Caticlan Airport (Boracay) the next morning .**There are no direct flights to Boracay.** If you want to head straight to Boracay, you will have to take a Grab to transfer to the domestic terminal and take a flight to Caticlan. Philippine Airlines (PAL) - the only direct flight to Manila from SF/LA. Fare is approximately $1100 RT(Economy) If you're ok with having 1 stop for about 2-3 hours, then RT flights with these airlines are generally lower than PAL. Approximately it is $800 RT (Economy).

Flight

Flights from Manila to Caticlan Airport (MPH)

Upon arrival in Manila, guests will need to take a domestic flight to Caticlan Airport (airport code: MPH). Domestic flights are located in Terminal 2 of MNL International Airport. Give yourself enough time to get to the different terminals if you are flying to/from Boracay the same day. Domestic flight from Manila (MNL) to Boracay (MPH) is ~ $50-$80 roundtrip MPH is the ideal airport to fly into. There are multiple airlines that fly here from Manila - Philippine Air, Cebu Pacific, and Air Asia. **We do not suggest flying into Kalibo as travel times will be longer** You can then coordinate a private boat transfer to your hotel on Boracay island. Please reach out to our wedding planner, Amanda Tirol to help coordinate flights / transportation: boracayweddings@yahoo.com

Shuttle

Getting from Caticlan Airport to your hotel

March 21, 2024 12:00 pm

Getting from the Caticlan airport to your hotel requires a shuttle to the ferry terminal (Caticlan Jetty Port) and a ferry ride to the island. Most hotels offer complimentary land/boat transfers that will take you from the Airport directly to your hotel. Please double check with your hotel to make sure that they offer this service. If not, you make your transfers using the link below https://southwesttours.ph/transfers/boracay.html/ *Take note that all tourists traveling to Boracay will be charged an Environmental Fee of $15 per person when you arrive. *Exchange Rate is $1= PHP 50-54* **Speedboat Transfer (Round Trip Between Caticlan Airport and Boracay)** We recommend purchasing your speed boat transfers with your hotel. This saves waiting in the public lines at Caticlan Airport. The only way to Boracay Island is by boat. Land/Shuttle transfers with tourist fee cost approximately $40 RT
