Hannah is Emily’s other half (sorry, Jo). The two met by chance during sorority recruitment when Hannah talked about her family tree on day 2. Emily ended up running home to the same sorority, Hannah needed a Courtyard roommate, and bada bing bada boom…..a glorious bestie friendship was born. From 323, to happy spooky seaso, Panic! At The Disco, to meeting baby cows and so so so many more memories….too many to count….they have been two halves of a whole. Hannah was also there on the day of the proposal! Emily is thankful to have her as the 1st and best “Maiden of Honor” ever.
Lauren Evans
Bridesmaid
Lauren is Emily’s OG bestie and lifelong “twinny”. Maternal cousins by blood, they have been inseparable since birth (other than the 2 month gap between them before Lauren was born). From music festivals, to supporting each other through big life changes, they share a unique bond and connection that is as strong as ever (24 years and counting).
Caroline Riggs
Bridesmaid
Emily met Caroline after they both went to the same high school and ended up at Winthrop as neighbors in Margaret Nance. From joining the same sorority, to scary trips to Punta Cana, they’ve been friends and sisters ever since. Caroline currently lives in Chicago, IL and has been there for two years. She’s working at an advertising agency doing work for multiple brands, but mainly Boeing.
Megan Bradham
Bridesmaid
Megan is Emily’s long time best friend since 7th grade. A friendship that started in a mutual love for bands turned into roadtrips to concerts, Warped Tours, frequent sleepovers, an iconic Florida Keys vacay, and led to millions of memories still in the making. Megan is currently living the newly-wed trophy wife life with her husband David and dogs Avery and Ries. She is obsessed with all things Clemson, the mountains, Chick-fil-A, and Friends. She could also play a part in Schitts Creek and Virgin River. She likes doing laundry, and wants to be a wedding/event planner!
Geoffrey Steinman
Best Man
Geoffrey is Jo’s hypothetical business partner. Despite their many mediocre ideas, they have no capital and continue to romanticize every opportunity that comes their way. Geoffrey and Jo often spend time cooking together, and traveling within the Carolinas to different haunted houses. He also bought Jo a rice cooker because he keeps burning rice. Geoffrey currently lives in Mint Hill, NC and works in transportation logistics at a local hospital. He also is a professional haunt consultant, which is what started him and Emily’s friendship (and rants between them).
Isaiah Sayer
Groomsman
Isaiah is Jo’s former coworker and neighbor. On Jo’s first date with Emily, he decided he was going to make her a meal and would pre-cook the rice. He was going to put in a container because he often burns rice……Isaiah cooked the rice. Thus, dubbing him the “original life-line” of the relationship.
Josh Hayes
Groomsman
Josh is Emily’s little brother, and newer friend of Jo. The boys have enjoyed working on projects together, such as building a deck and playing with Jo and Emily’s cats (Dorothy & Sawyer) despite them both being severely allergic. He reminds Jo often that building a shed is easy, building a shed that won’t fall down is not. Josh is currently living in Charlotte, NC and is studying to be a Mechanical Engineer. He’s the brains of the family.
Seth McKee
Groomsman
Seth is Jo’s diabetes camp buddy and unconsenting comedy partner. Seth is the only person Jo knows that can bring themselves to tears laughing at their own joke.
