Travel Note
• Transportation a. Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) is likely the most convenient airport. b. If for some reason PBI does not have a flight you’re interested in: i. Orlando International Airport (MCO), and then Brightline (high speed rail) can take you into Boca Raton from the Orlando airport. Aloft is a 15-minute Uber ride from the Boca Raton station. ii. Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport (FLL), and then Uber to the Fort Lauderdale Brightline Station (~15 minutes). After taking the Brightline into Boca you can catch an Uber to Aloft for another 15-minute drive. 2. Accommodations a. Stay at Aloft if you can i. Aloft is the single cheapest hotel in the area from all my research while also being one of the nicest (since it was built in 2018). Every other hotel we checked in the area is more expensive, and many are of the same quality. iv. It has a pool. b. If you are looking for a higher-end resort type experience I would either look at Opal Grand Resort (this is where Thomas was married) or The Seagate Hotel & Spa, both of which are approximately twice the cost of Aloft. i. These are both a 5-minute drive from the venue & reception; 20-minute walk. c. If you get an Airbnb, please pop into Google Street view outside the property to ensure it meets whatever expectations you have.
