Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30pm EST at the Davis Islands Garden Club. Please arrive no later than 30 minutes prior to find parking and get settled. Two families are becoming one - pick a seat not a side at the ceremony! :)

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There are very limited parking spaces available at the Davis Islands Garden Club. Free parking is available at the Marjorie Park Marina next door, as well as street parking at a first come first serve basis. As alcohol will be provided, please be responsible and request an Uber or Lyft if you plan to drink! It is recommended to pre-schedule your Uber/Lyft ride ahead of time to avoid congestion and potential limited availability at the end of the night.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes! The Davis Islands Garden Club is conveniently located 2 miles away from downtown Tampa, where a large variety of hotels await! For our recommended list of hotels, please view the “Travel” link on this website. Please note Expedia.com is also a helpful tool to find hotels in the area within any budget. We also highly recommend Airbnb as well for plenty of alternative housing options.

Can I bring a date?

Due to limited space at the venue, please do not bring a plus 1 unless specified on your save the date/invitation envelope.

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Formal invitations will be sent out early November - be on the lookout prior to the holidays! Website RSVPs will be turned on at that time where you will be able to see the exact number of people you can RSVP for. If you are unable to attend, we appreciate you letting us know at the soonest opportunity. RSVPs will be due by December 20th to allow us ample time to inform our vendors of final headcounts. RSVPs not received by this date will be marked as a ‘no’ - you will be missed!

While we love your kiddos, this is an adult only event. Please treat this evening as mom and dad’s night out!

Answer

While your presence is more than enough, should you wish to honor us with a gift, please view the “Registry” link on this site for a list of requested items as well as a Honeymoon Fund or New House Fund open for contribution!

What will you be serving?

Answer

An open bar will be provided starting at 5pm (tea, water, and sodas also available), with coffee available during dinner. We will be catering 4 different butler passed hors d’oeuvres during cocktail hour (a gluten free and a vegetarian option will be available) and serving a buffet style dinner (selections include a mixed greens salad, vegetable medley, red skinned potatoes, tilapia with pineapple salsa, chicken parmigiana, and a chef-manned pasta bar)!

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal cocktail attire to formal attire is requested. (Cocktail dresses; suit and tie - no jeans, please!) *Please note - weather permitting, the ceremony and reception will be fully outdoors where slight walking in soft grass will be needed. Please plan attire/footwear accordingly (and bring a jacket if you tend to get cold)! We will have a few outdoor heaters setup during dinner and cocktail hour.

Anything going on after the wedding?

Answer

Join us after the wedding at American Social (5 min drive away) to continue the party with the Mr. and Mrs.! We have reserved a VIP private outdoor patio for our guests to come and go and enjoy some post-wedding drinks and food (both available via a cash bar). Please say you’re here for the “Glover Wedding Party” when you arrive at the host stand. Please note if you drive to the location there is a valet present (around $15) or self parking is available in the Point Parking Garage - you can validate parking at the host stand for up to 2 hours, each additional hour is $5 per vehicle. We hope to see you there!
