It all started on a random afternoon in the summer of 2018 - Alex and Jenna mutually swiped right on the dating app Tinder, and the two began talking and getting to know each other. After 2 days, Alex stopped responding and Jenna said, “Oh well.” and thought that was the end of that. 😅 A week of radio silence went by and then Jenna received a notification, “Alex sent you a message”. “Ha, this should be good…” Jenna thought to herself as she opened up the app. Alex had claimed he went on an Alaskan cruise with his family, which Jenna immediately thought “ha, that’s a lie” after potentially “ghosting” her. Despite the initial hesitation, Jenna agreed to go out on a date to Noble Crust in St Pete later that week. Jenna and Alex immediately hit it off, and upon the restaurant closing at midnight, they decided to go to Miller’s Ale House nearby to continue talking and getting to know each other. They talked until 3am before finally parting ways, already sharing ideas about where to meet for their second date. — Flash forward to their first Christmas together that same year, where Alex’s mother gifted her kids multiple souvenirs and personal picture books from their Alaskan cruise that summer. Jenna flipped through one of the books, smiled to herself remembering her initial hesitation to meet Alex for the first time and thought, “wow, they’re really trying to convince me Alex actually DID go to Alaska!!” — After dating and doing life together for nearly 4 and a half years, Jenna and Alex got engaged in December 2022 and could not be more excited for this next chapter.
