FAQs

Question

Where is the wedding taking place?

Answer

The wedding will be held at The University Club of San Francisco, located at 800 Powell St., San Francisco, CA 94108.

Question

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

The University Club is in the Nob Hill neighborhood, and as the name suggests, it's all on a big hill. Thankfully the venue isn't a climb, but we still don't recommend walking unless you're staying within a few blocks. Unfortunately, there isn't parking at the venue, so if you're driving, there's parking up the hill around Huntington Park near the Grace Cathedral or on California St. near the Tonga Room. You can also grab a Zip Car and park at their Mason and Bush St. location. Uber and Lyft are abundant in the city, and it's rare you'll wait longer than 5-10 minutes for a ride, so be sure to download the apps before Saturday!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Something semi-formal or cocktail attire. You know, wedding clothes. But don't wear white, that's our color!

Question

What about when we're not at the wedding?

Answer

The weather is the same year-round at a cool 55-65 degrees. Don't be fooled by the warm days into leaving your jacket at the hotel—you'll want to layer up. Also, San Francisco is a hilly city, so be sure to pack some walking shoes!

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

Just shoot one of us a text, or go one tab over on the banner above (you're so close!)

Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please let us know whether you will be attending by July 1st. But since you're already on the website, you might as well let us know now!

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

The University Club isn't a huge hotel, so only a handful of rooms are available. Text one of us, and we'll let you know if there are still rooms available. Otherwise, we'll give you some recommendations based on where you want to be in the city, or the type of stay your looking for!

Question

Will there be any vegan/vegetarian/gluten-free/allergy/unique diet options?

Answer

No. But we got you. Reach out to one of us and let us know, and we can easily accommodate your needs.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yup.

Question

What type of food and drink will be served during the cocktail hour and reception?

Answer

Chicken, Seafood, Clam Chowder, the good stuff. FYI - If you RSVP'd by text then please let us know if you would like Chicken or Fish for your meal!

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

We love your kids, but we're unable to accommodate your children due to the space and setting of the venue.

Question

What are some good places to eat?

Answer

San Francisco is full of good eats; unfortunately, too many to list on a single Zola webpage. So head over to the Things-to-Do tab and scroll towards the bottom of the page, where you'll find select options of our favorite places to get our grub on.

Question

What health and safety measures will you be taking during the event?

Answer

We'll abide by all state and city guidelines no matter what they may be at the time. As of now, no mask or proof of vaccination is required for indoor events.

Question

How will you communicate any updated information and/or changes before the wedding?

Answer

Carrier pigeon.

Question

Will there be dancing?

Answer

The building is super old; therefore, no sudden movements are permitted.

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

Pottery Barn, Crate and Barrell, Target, Amazon, or anywhere else your heart desires. But let us say genuinely you coming to our wedding is gift enough!

Question

Is there anything to do in San Francisco?

Answer

Question

Seriously? Nothing to do in SF?
