Estes park
This mountain town is a base for Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP) and home to lots of wildlife including elk and bears. You DO need a timed-entry pass to get into RMNP this time of year, but you can still get gorgeous views and fun hikes around Estes. Located about 1 hour and 15 minutes northwest Denver.
Garden of the Gods
Garden of the Gods is a natural landmark with magnificent views of red rock formations. It gets crowded on weekends, so try to go earlier or later in the day. Located about 1 hour south of Denver.
Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre
The famous concert venue! Red Rocks allows visitors to access the park one hour before sunrise until one hour after sunset on non-event days, and one hour before sunrise until 2pm on event days. Located about 20 minutes west of Denver.
Larimer Square
Picturesque area in the heart of downtown Denver with lots of trendy shops and eateries.
River North Art District
The RiNo Art District is located about a mile north of downtown and is Denver's creative hub! Lots of art galleries, microbreweries and restaurants.
Golden
Golden is a mountain town just 20 minutes west of Denver. It is home to the Coors Brewery, many shops and restaurants. There are lots of fun hikes around here too!
