CUN- Cancun International Airport

American Airlines and Delta both offer nonstop service from RDU to CUN daily. Rates will vary at the time of booking. *Please note that you will need a valid U.S. Passport to gain entry into Mexico. Passports cannot be within 6 months of the expiration date or you may have issues going through customs.

All wedding events will be held at the resort. Due to the wedding package that we've booked, we ask that all of our guests stay onsite. For your convenience, we have a room block reserved for our wedding. To book using this room block please email parre2@iberostar.com AND alejandro.galeana@iberostar.com or call at 011-52-984-877-2800 ext 8056 and reference our group name 'Hayat & Cesar Wedding'; we recommend using email as this is the most convenient way. Reservations can be made up until November 1st, 2021 but we urge you to book ASAP as the number of rooms are limited. Once the room block is filled, standard hotel rates will apply. Minimum stay is 3 nights. Please do not hesitate to contact Cesar or Hayat if you have specific questions about booking.

Shuttle

USA Transfers

You will need to book a shuttle from CUN to the resort in Playa del Carmen. We have personally used USA Transfers and highly recommend their services, as they are prompt and professional. Your driver should be waiting for you outside the airport once you exit- they generally write your name on a sign for you to find them easily. The shuttle will take you straight to the resort, which is about a 45-55 minute drive. Iberostar is located on Playacar- a private beach community/neighborhood within the town of Playa del Carmen. Your shuttle will get you through security at the entrance of the neighborhood where the shuttle will be inspected/searched and you will be asked to present your passport and/or hotel reservation (this is a safety protocol, and happens to every car going through). https://www.usa-transfers.com Average cost: ~$70 per person

Bus- Ado

A more cost effective alternative to booking a shuttle is using the bus to get to the resort. Bus tickets can be purchased at the airport (after you get through customs). ADO is the bus company that goes from CUN to Playa del Carmen- look for the ADO kiosk (in bright red letters) at the airport to purchase these tickets- about $10-20 per person. These buses are air conditioned and comparable to a Greyhound bus. The bus will take you from the airport to the bus station in the city center of Playa del Carmen. From there you can grab a taxi cab to the resort- you will need to tell your cab driver you are going to Iberostar in Playacar. Again, your cab will be inspected/searched upon entrance to Playacar. Taxis are easily accessible from the bus station and do not need to be booked before hand. This route will take you about 1.5-2 hours https://www.ado.com.mx/
