The year 2020 was life changing for many and it was no different for us! We had been friends on Instagram for a couple of years and would periodically exchange pleasantries or like each others pictures but never formally met. The stars aligned when Brittney was in Houston for spring break from dental school in Nashville and John happened to be home from traveling for work in Houston. What initially started off as a first date consisting of getting to know each other over crawfish, turned into extended months of quality time as COVID-19 shut down the world. Through the lockdown, we were able to spend months of undisrupted time getting to know one another; devoid of work, school and any other day-to-day distractions. Fast forward 3 years and here we are!

Every year, we go on a trip to a location neither of us have been to for our anniversary. Anniversary 2023 was no different. However, the trip ended a lot different than any other trip. Instead of traveling back home to Atlanta after leaving Costa Rica, we detoured to Houston where Brittney was pleasantly surprised by a surprise graduation party that unexpectedly turned into a proposal. John asked the magical question and without hesitation, Brittney said YES! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Houston!
