FAQs

The Wedding Website of Angie Snyder and Aspen Hawke
Question

When do I need to RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP no later than September 30th. This will allow us ample time to prepare for the big day accordingly.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

November 9th is special! We want you all to be comfortable and dazzling! Black tie is optional! If you feel snazzy in a tux, we want to see you in it! However, a tux is not required, and you're welcome to wear a nice suit and tie, or a full-length (or cocktail) dress, for the ladies. In the header of this page, you will see our wedding colors. Please wear something in this color family. Black is also welcome.

Question

Is there parking at Alderman House?

Answer

Yes! Complimentary valet.

Question

Can I bring someone to the wedding?

Answer

Please refer to your invitation. If you and a guest are invited, the invitation's envelope will include either, for example, "Jane Smith and guest," or "Jane Smith and Mark Davis." If you are unsure, please contact Angie or Aspen.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

You know we love your kids! However, you should refer to your invite to know whether or not the children are invited. As much as we wanted to accommodate all families, we had to be selective. If your invitation is addressed to you and your child(ren), or reads, for example, "The Smith Family," please assume that your children are invited.

Question

Help! I'm vegan/I have food allergies!

Answer

Please indicate your dietary needs/food allergies in the RSVP section of this website.

Question

I took a lot of pictures at the wedding. Do you want them?

Answer

PLEASE send us your photos and videos! The best way to do this is by using our Guest Pix QR code (at the top of the page in the header). You can also click this link: https://my.guestpix.com/Guest/Access/42051/6kgP3QGD We want all your pictures and videos! While you're on the Guest Pix website, feel free to look at the gallery and sign our electronic guest book.

Question

Do you have a wedding Hashtag? (#what'sahashtag)

Answer

We do! Our wedding hashtag for social media is #HawkeLineAndSinker We hope you will use our hashtag in any of your social media posts. A hashtag is a metadata tag that is prefaced by the hash symbol, #. On social media, hashtags are used on microblogging and photo-sharing services such as Twitter or Tumblr as a form of user-generated tagging that enables cross-referencing of content by topic or theme. Wikipedia Symbol: # symbol

Question

What can I expect weather-wise?

Answer

The temperatures in Fort Myers in November are comfortable with a low of 66°F and a high of up to 85°F. You can expect a few rainy days in Fort Myers during November, but the weather is typically comfortable. As the wedding day falls within hurricane season, we will monitor the tropics and communicate any necessary plan changes. *Pray for clear weather!*

Question

Is the wedding inside?

Answer

The entire event will take place outside. The wedding ceremony will be held on the front lawn. Cocktail hour will take place on the back deck area. The reception will be held in the back courtyard. If you need an a/c break, you can enter the house and cool down in the lounge area. There are restroom facilities inside the main house. In the event of rain, we will have a tent set up. Please note that you will be seated in a grassy area for the ceremony and the stonework in the back courtyard is not perfectly smooth. If you prefer to wear heels, you may want to avoid stilettos and opt instead for block heels.

Question

Can I bring my cellphone to the wedding?

Answer

Yes, but please keep your phone and any other devices off during the ceremony. What is an unplugged ceremony? The unplugged ceremony means there are no cell phones, no iPads, and no cameras during the ceremony. During the wedding, the couple asks their guests to put away all their electronic devices so they can focus on the couple getting married. It also benefits the wedding photographer so they can do their job and not have to work around guests holding phones and cameras in the aisle.
