Angie and Aspen's love story began nearly a decade ago when they met in graduate school at Nova Southeastern University. Aspen didn't know it then, but Angie took an interest in his writing and research. She was always eager to see what he would post next on the psychology discussion boards. Since they did not have any in-person classes together, Angie made it a point to seek Aspen out at their graduation ceremony. When she found him, she initiated a hug and a congratulatory selfie that kicked off years of friendship. In 2021, they became reacquainted and the stars aligned for Aspen to ask Angie on a breakfast date. They enjoyed dating, laughing, music, traveling, adventure, and building a strong foundation of love and support. From their first date at a cozy local restaurant to countless trips to see their favorite bands, and touring breweries across the nation, their bond has only grown stronger. Now, as they embark on the next chapter of their lives, they are thrilled to celebrate their love with family and friends on their November 9, 2024 wedding day.
Aspen surprised Angie with a fun trip to Wisconsin to see the Greenbay Packers play on New Year's Day! They stayed in the Kimpton Journeyman in downtown Milwaukee and went to a fancy rooftop party for New Year's Eve. As fun as the party was, Aspen's eyeglasses were broken, so he was having difficulty seeing things. He also knew he was planning to pop the question, so he was a little nervous. Aspen's nervousness and facial expressions (from the eye-straining) made Angie anxious, which led to a migraine. Angie decided to go back to the room and lie down to sleep before the ball dropped and the question popped! But Aspen asked her to stand up for a moment, so he could give her a New Year's hug and kiss. When Angie sat up, she was stunned to see Aspen on one knee. Angie's reaction was, of course, comical. And she enthusiastically accepted Aspen's proposal!
