Stroll down Mercer Street or Old Fitzhugh Road in downtown Dripping Springs and "take a step back in time". The whole street is covered in quaint shops, many of which were built between 1870 and 1940, and some of the first businesses in Dripping Springs and many of the storefronts have remained unchanged for decades. Plus the actual "dripping springs", the landmark which gave Dripping Springs the town, its name.
The original distillery in Dripping Springs and the makers of infamous Dripping Springs Vodka for an afternoon of sipping and relaxing. Their vodka and gin is micro-distilled in small batches in copper pot stills, and finished with pure, mineral rich Hill Country artesian Springs Water. They have a new Tasting Room, a Distillers Bar, craft cocktails, small bites from their Southern inspired food menu, and yard games in their shaded oak grove.

David's favorite BBQ by far!! (must try the cobbler) The line may be long, but the wait is worth it and you can buy a drink (or BYOB, hello!) to sip on while you wait for a table. A must have if you have time to check this Texas BBQ off the list.
There are too many breweries and wineries to count within the Dripping Springs & Driftwood area of the hill country.
