What we thought would be a simple Saturday brunch at The Woolworth in Downtown Dallas, lead to a Blood & Honey pint next door, which lead to a trip to the Revolver Brewery (where Blood & Honey is made), which lead to drinks with Delaney's coworker and friend (shoutout Maci!) all on our first date turned full day.

Growing up, the Owen family went on vacation to Ka'anapali Beach, Maui annually and 2024 was the year David finally got to join (his first trip to Hawaii!) with them. Halfway through the trip, David and Kelly (Delaney's sister) conspired and formed a plan for him to pop the question. All it took was a request from Kelly for some impromptu photos on the way to dinner and the phrase "I think I see a turtle!!!" to get Delaney to walk across the sand in sandals and a full length dress at sunset. David dropped to one knee, shed a single tear and it was an immediate "YES!!!!!"

We have about 100 photobooth strips on our refrigerator from over the years with friends and family in malls, endless bars, wedding venues, the Texas Fair, Grad parties and the Rainforest Cafe - so it was only fitting.
