We’re getting married!

The first time I laid eyes on Rob he was shirtless, layered in mud, fresh out of the Ohio River, and covered in body hair, beard to toe. It was Memorial Day Weekend of 2016 and Rob was out at my family’s farm with my brother, Michael. Rob and I exchanged glances, and he quickly made his way over to me. Full of excitement I couldn’t wait to talk to this cute guy! He then said, “there’s something on your back.” Between his goofy personality and way with words, I knew this hairy man had to be mine. I quickly schemed with my soon-to-be sister-in-law about what my next move would be. We decided we would “encourage” Michael to invite Rob to their upcoming wedding shower. _ With a new comforter in hand for the happy couple-to-be, Morgan was impossible to miss in her blue and yellow sundress. We chatted and laughed, and while the connection was immediate, Michael was my friend and I would never have conceived that a good friend's sister could ever be more than an acquaintance! A few days passed, and I looked through my friend requests on Facebook to find none other than one Morgan Hatfield requesting to connect. We chatted and laughed some more, and even still I was in denial that we could ever be anything more than friends. It was only a matter of time until I was asking Michael’s permission to take Morgan on our first date. Michael’s response was a surprising one, he being more concerned about me, given Morgan’s “wild” and spontaneous nature; but as it turns out, those characteristics are just a few of many reasons I wound up falling deeply in love with her. _ "You don't marry the one you can live with, you marry the one you can't live without"
