It’s January of 2018 and I was enjoying a girls night with the gal pals and we decided to hit up the local daiquiri/karaoke bar in Lake Charles, LA. Without going into great detail, let’s just say that I had a few adult beverages that night. I definitely remember singing a few tunes on the karaoke stage and I eventually became parched from my grammy level performance. So my friend told me to find a guy to buy me a drink. No sense in spending anymore of my hard earned money on a drink that I did NOT need. I scanned the bar and saw this mega hottie in a backwards ball cap, standing at the bar waiting for a drink. I have zero inhibition at this point. I stumbled on over and spoke the life altering sentence: “HEY! You wanna buy me a drink?”. He turned, looked at me and smiled, then replied: “Sure, what do you want?” I had not thought this far ahead. So, I sat down and began sorting through my options of frozen daiquiris, trying to decide which would taste the best coming back up. He took the seat next to me. The famous drink never got touched. We just sat there and talked for hours, until the lights eventually came on and the place was getting ready to close. Zac asked me if I liked sushi, not knowing it is literally the reason I live and breathe. Then he asked me to dinner the next night. Well I went to dinner with him and then almost every night after that for months to follow. I quickly became hooked on him and fell madly in love. I’ve never met anyone like Zac. He is so open and honest. Being with him has been the best years of my life. From Lake Charles, to Houston, BACK to Lake Charles. Now here we are three years later; living in Boston, planning our wedding and looking forward to spending the rest of our lives together. Being with Zac has been one big crazy adventure that I never want to end. Fun fact: Zac never saw my live performance that first night. Which really worked out for me because I know if he had, he would not have agreed to buy me that drink.
