Bride
Katie loves three things in life: Coffee, Kitties, and Theatre. And Matt. And Books. Okay, Five things. The order changes daily. After rolling her eyes at being set up by her parents to go on a date, Katie begrudgingly fell in love with that exceptionally cute date eight years later. She has since been rescued from the midwest by her fiancee to her amazing new life in New England (these are totally Katie's words).
Groom
Matthew officially locked Katie down after being really, really sure of her answer. (Like, put down a deposit on a venue sure. Like, booked a DJ sure. Like, celebrating a pre-anniversary at the venue sure.) He is lucky that Katie's dad is easy going, as one of his favorite hobbies is referring to the Midwest as "flyover country." Other pastimes include tickling Katie, playing video games (a.k.a. Saving the Universe), playing with the cats, and reminding Katie of the one time she promised (albeit foolishly) to never roll her eyes at him. He reminds her of that last one a lot. He looks forward to seeing those eyes roll at him for the rest of his life. (Absolutely written by Matt.)
Matron of Honor
Aubrey and Katie go, like, WAY back. In their 30+ years of friendship, they have been through so much together, from road trips to retreats to inside jokes, and Katie is thrilled to call Aubrey her Matron of Honor.
Best Woman
The entry for Matthew on Bonnie's cell phone lists him as "Full of Bull", and that says everything you need to know about the relationship between these two. Meeting over 20 years ago (in spite of the fact that both are only 29), during Matthew's freshman year of college, Bonnie and Matt have been inseparable since. Thankfully, their respective spouses think that's funny. Both have been there for each other to celebrate the best of time and work through the worst. The decision to have Bonnie snarkily by Matt's side at his wedding was an easy choice.
Bridesmaid
Katie and Barbara met in the magical land of ValleyFair Amusement Park, solidifying their friendship through hours of chatting and crafting artisanal paper footballs. Though geographically distant, they have maintained a close friendship through the years.
Groomsman
R.C. had the misfortune of being Matthew's first college roommate back when Matt was a young, cluefree, socially-inept nerd (instead of the old, cluefree, socially-inept nerd he's grown into). R.C. is the true definition of a friend and will (and has) flown halfway around the world for a friend in need.
Bridesman
Bryan once called Katie his “best friend who isn’t a dude,” and she is proud to carry such a title. They also met at VF, and bonded over the fine cuisine of Applebee’s and Perkins and the constant use of sarcasm. They visit as often as they can, and compete in yearly thrifting scavenger hunts.
Groomswoman
Matthew accidentally stumbled into a spin class being taught by Jennifer and hasn't looked back since. Jennifer is most known for being everyone's cheerleader, her love for her puppers (and wife!), and her extreme like of cheesecake.
Bridesman
Katie and Rob met and became friends during rehearsals for “A Witness for the Prosecution” in St. Louis. While waiting for their respective scenes, they took many ridiculous photos with a vase of dead roses, and a lasting friendship was born. Rob and Katie are not only besties, they are also birthday twins.
Groomsman
Matthew and Craig have known each other for almost 30 years even though they both act 12. Craig and Matthew both attended college together for Computer Science, designing the DAM OS, playing Quake (in C), and going over to Craig's apartment to work on homework only to fall asleep while Craig needed "five more minutes" on his MMO game.
Bridesman
Luke met Katie when he was born, and he has been stuck with her ever since. Both siblings and friends, they share a love of theatre, a goofy sense of humor, and an outlandish sense of fashion.
Officiant
Katie met Curtis over 10 years ago, when he was Aubrey’s boyfriend. Their very first conversation was all about staying safe on the mean streets of St. Louis. He has become like a brother to Katie, and she is pumped to have him officiate this wedding. Matt met Curtis for the first time in Rolla, MO, where Curtis declared that Matt had “kind eyes”
