This is a beautiful waterfall hike near Arlington. This does require a vehicle that can go on really bumpy dirt roads. The hike itself is fairly flat and moderate in difficulty. Find more information on AllTrails.
A 55 minute drive from Arlington. Beautiful hike with flowers in June (can drive to the top to skip the hike). One of Casey and Paul's favorites. You can also stop in Anacortes afterwards at Calico Cupboard for a post-hike brunch.
A 55 minute drive from Arlington. Where Paul and Casey currently live. Many hikes in the surrounding area (Oyster Dome and Fragrance Lake are favorites) as well as many breweries and restaurants. Little Cheerful for brunch, Black Cat for dinner, Southside for cocktails, or Gruff for a beer are a few of many favorites. Explore the cute town of Fairhaven, shop at the downtown Bellingham farmers market, take a stroll on the boardwalk, have a beach picnic at Marine Park, or take some beautiful waterfall pictures at Whatcom Falls. A 40 minute drive from Arlington. This coastal town is adorable and a frequent visit for Paul and Casey. Explore shops, order fresh seafood, and from local bakeries.
If you have time to kill in Seattle then definitely go to Pike's Place Market. Fish markets, boutiques, clothes, and plenty of snacks. Casey recommends getting a honey stick while Paul would recommend standing in line for a pirogi at Piroshky Piroshky.
Casey grew up going to the UW Arboretum with her mom and this is one place where her love for nature started. Take a stroll in the beautiful park!
If you are spending extra time in Seattle, this museum is beautiful and a great way to see the Seattle Center.
